This restaurant is recommended to Italian cuisine lovers. Being at Italian American Society, taste good chicken parmesan, meat ravioli and parmesan. Delicious wine will make your meal even more delicious and you'll surely come back. The cosy atmosphere of this place makes guests feel relaxed and have a good time. The staff is cool that's what makes this spot so nice. Prices here are reported to be affordable. Unfortunately, visitors don't like the disgusting decor. But google users awarded the score of 4.6 to this restaurant.

The Italian American society is always a great choice for an evening out with friends. Ten of us sat down and were comfortable at a table, and this was during Lent on a Friday with fish frys all around town. The Friday special had huge filets of fish, and the ambiance is always nice. This place has a bit of a stepping back in time feel to it, which is cool. The upstairs ballroom looks like something out of the 1960's. Four of us had a great meal on a Saturday night. The restaurant was packed. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their meal. One person ordered the ribeye steak special. It was huge and well prepared. The rest of us each ordered something different and were pleased with what we received. We all took home enough leftovers for a full second meal. Their lasagna is some of the best that I have ever had and will definitely order it when we visit again. If I could give the food and atmosphere at the Italian American Society 10 stars i would highly recommend this beautiful supper club and bar! This was by far the best Italian food we have ever had. In addition very nice staff! The portions were huge!! Best ravioli, best lasagna we have ever tasted. The feel of this place is also full of history and beautiful in every way!! What a great place go to. We try to visit the Italian American Center as often as our budget allows. We love the food, the ambiance and the service. Most of all, we love the bartender, Caleb. He truly makes the restaurant great! He has a wonderful personality, is funny and quite knowledgable about drinks. He made me a special drink for my birthday too! Never let this guy go. We came to Italian American society to celebrate a friend’s birthday, they actually let us decorate the table for the birthday boy. We came with intentions to eat lasagna but they were out(a little disappointing) so I ended up having the baked chicken with ravioli (not disappointed) but I guess now I’ll have to make another trip back for the lasagna. 😁
Loved the kitschy atmosphere, reminds me of my childhood and the food was great and definitely great sized portions and reasonably priced- I HIGHLY recommend the restaurant - I really wish I remembered my servers name, she was phenomenal! Very funny, understood the menu well. She was great at making us feel at home I do have one complaint- no steak, while menu actually has an area that says "Steaks and chops"...??? But they don't offer steak??? Hmmm...??? False advertising Nonetheless, I still recommend the restaurant Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Italian Combo

In town visiting and found so many highly rated Italian restaurants. IA was not my first choice but after reading the reviews and seeing the photos especially of the raviolis which look just like the ones I make. After arriving and being met by a homeless person asking for money, we quickly went in the restaurant. When you walk in you are transformed into an era of 1970’s and not retro. You walk downstairs to the restaurant and after a brief moment, the bartender say you can sit wherever you want. We took a seat at a four top. The chairs were mauve banquet chairs from the 70’s most definitely. They were ready to celebrate Easter with decor all over including a tree. After being served some hot fresh bread we were looking forward to the rest of the meal. The dipping olive oil needed some more flavor, but the bread was so fresh. We had the soup of the day which was cheese tortellini in a tomato soup with some fresh spinach that was really good. Could have had a little more salt but perfect so that you could add more if you wanted. On to the next. We decided on the combination. First there were two of us and when we ordered the waitress never said anything to reference that it was enough for literally 2-4 people and we had two! The menu stated It had a little taste of everything: lasagna mostaccioli, gnocchi, one cheese ravioli, one meat ravioli, sausage, and one meatball. When the plates arrived, it looked like a large platter of penne with red sauce. Literally the bottom was covered with the gnocchi and penne pasta. Then the rest of it was placed on top, and then the entire plate was covered in red sauce. You could not distinguish what was, and what wasn’t when looking at the plate. My feedback to IA on this plate is there so much that you’re expecting? Have the plate show each piece on its own so you truly get the flavors individually. Don’t make it into a giant Italian casserole, which is basically what it was. I will say we were in and out within 40 minutes. It’s not often that I get this critical. I really try to give everybody the benefit of the doubt and find the positives which I hope you’ll see in my review. I was truly looking to an authentic Italian restaurant as I am Italian as well and cook my families recipes on a regular basis. Looks like next year when we return will be trying out some of the other options I had found. The bartender was vaping and never once washed her hands. She sat there chatting with a friend looking at her 2” nails. I get the small town vibe, but if you’re inviting customers in, you should definitely be taking care of them, and not talking about all of your personal life to where people can hear it. There was a woman who was maybe a manager , cook or the owner I’m not really sure. She definitely was engaged with other tables. You could tell my husband and I were definitely not from there and we’re in town visiting as everyone else was very social with her. We could tell it was a place the locals patronize and I get it, but at the same time it definitely made you feel like an outsider. I hope this is taken as constructive feedback. Italian American society is a local restaurant. They serve traditional Italian food that taste like homemade. They offer a selection of appetizers, salads and homemade soup there is a soup of the day., sandwiches, pasta, chicken dishes, steak & pork chops, seafood, Pizza, and deserts. they even have a children's menu. The restaurant is located downstairs. It has a clean and inviting atmosphere. The decor is from perhaps the 70s which adds to its charm. When you enter the bartender will greet you. And will take you to your table. They bring you warm bread with spreadable butter and dipping oil. The waitress was great. She was attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. We did not have reservations as we went during the week but to my understanding if you're going on the weekend you should make reservations. The food, drinks and atmosphere were even better than expected. The staff was engaging and friendly. Are you looking for some beautiful nostalgia with great food and music? Then this is the place for you, The recommended ravioli and chicken were perfect. Both were sheer comfort food that warms the soul. The cheese curds started off the meal with joy. The old fashioneds were on point. The choc peanut butter cake was a dream. 10 stars at least!! Visited the ball room for a wedding and reception. The room is reminiscent of the ballroom days of the past. Large, open wooden floor with a decor representing the buildings age. The food was served buffet style which included pasta, chicken, and meatballs. A side salad and bread were included. The chicken was an Italian seasoning and cooked well. The meatballs were exceptional, along with the mostaccioli were the highlight of the meal. Accessibility from street level to either the ballroom or the restaurant was not evident, calling ahead might be advantageous. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
