I stumbled upon grove street during lunch time and walked into Ibby’s falafel to try them out. Let me tell you that this was exceptional experience . Their food was so fresh and tasty I just don’t know where to begin. I had there shawafel lamb combo and a side of hummus. Honestly 5 stars is too little for the great taste I experienced. Omg I forgot the fresh mint lemonade drink I had with my meal. It’s was just refreshing. I highly recommend this place. They been around since 1996. Great Middle Eastern food for sure. 😋😋😋😋 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

AMAZING food. The owners were so kind and welcoming. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Not knowing the history the owner told us all the history of Ibby's and what a gem. I can't tell you how glad I was that I grabbed a big baba ganoush because it is the best I have ever had. Truly a hidden gem. The staff is really what has me coming back This location has a great place A group of people, they are wonderful and so sweet and always work hard!!! It is also very busy at this location and the employees are just so darn nice and great! Thank you!!!!! know how hard it can get sometimes but let me tell ya, this staff is the best!!! I bit into the falafel and felt something hard. At first I thought it was a chicken bone but I pulled it out to discover it was a huge piece of plastic. This was my first and last time eating here. Today was a cold day and all I wanted was a good homemade meal. This hit the spot. The service was excellent. The young man at the restaurant was patient with us as we made our selections. The restaurant was small as all are up here in NY/J but it was CLEAN! It was homey, it was cozy, it was welcoming. The mint lemonade is something of a novelty and they make it in house. The hummus is unlike anything you’ll ever buy at a grocery store…and the spicy pita chips are perfection. I am about to try a slice of baklava and other assorted pastries but I couldn’t wait any longer and wanted to leave a raving review!!!

Just realized i never reviewed this institution. It’s an amazing place for everything on the menu - it’s different and very unique. No point in comparing it to other venues like Mamouns etc. This is a unique place in the history of Jersey City. You will love the food, if you don’t its okay - not everyone has to like everything in the world. This is an authentic place with hard core flavors - try lamb shawarmas, falafels and grilled kebabs.

Was better in the summer when there was a shorter guy working the grill and it really depends who's working. The last two times including today the lamb was over cooked and dry. I’ve been ordering falafel sandwiches for a while, but once I started ordering the jordan sandwiches, i haven’t looked back. it’s super flavorful and it satisfies me when i’m hungry and craving something filling. i always add their homemade pickled turnips to my sandwiches and it’s like a cherry on top. their baklava is homemade as well, it’s my favorite sweet ever!! 11/10 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Baba Ganoush

Stopped here with a friend to grab a quick bite to eat. We got the chicken shawarma pita and it was pretty good! Chicken was tender and ingredients were fresh. Also the food was ready relatively fast. There is also outdoor seating available if you want to sit down and eat, since the storefront is pretty small. Pros: - Good quality food - Perfect if you are on the go and want to pick something up fast - A few tables and chairs outside to eat at Cons: -Small interior (no indoor tables for seating) -$10 minimum spend if you are paying with card
