My bride and I met an old friend & his wife at Hosmer's Marina/Smugglers Cafe for lunch on a Wednesday in September. The atmosphere was nice (not too loud), the food was excellent (and affordable), and the waitstaff was efficient and saw to our every need (earning a larger tip)! I can recommend the baked fish sandwich, but I will try a burger next time as my lady said it was excellent.

Roll was hard and dry, and French fries were mediocre medium warm tasted like they had been sitting around. Service is always great though.

I love this place. The food is really good and the prices are beyond reasonable. Great place to bring a family and not have to break the bank for dinner. Located right on the river you can enjoy the outside seating in the summer or dine inside. They also have a tackle shop and kayak rentals.

Saturday, 05/26/2023: Wonderful experience! The food was delicious. The service was great. The ambience to die for! I'm definitely going to visit more frequently. BTW: The other five members of my party echoe these sentiments.

Had to wait 2 hours to get a table… then our waiter seemed to forget about me and my date… we didn’t eat there obviously.

Definitely my favorite place to go in the Burg! Lovely location right on the water with outdoor/indoor seating - perfect for lunch/dinner, especially when they have live music. Good array of menu options with lots of specials and chef's choice items. Good selection of local and domestic beer on tap and by the bottle/can. Always friendly staff, even when they're busy!

All the food was terrific! The fries are humungous and still had their skin....LOVED THEM both flavors! Swiss burger, tuna sandwich, shrimp, clam strips, chicken wrap.....all delicious, we tried each other’s dishes 🤪. Huge dishes full of food!! Thank you to the waitress, she was very very good!! Recommend over other places in the burg, Madrid, canton and Potsdam any day!!

ordered pizza and chicken sandwich with fries. Told would be ready at 630. Sandwich was , pizza came out at 655. Got home sandwich and fries were ice cold, pizza was under cooked,put it in the oven then put chicken sandwich and fries in microwave. Not real happy with dinner. I should have known they were very busy
