With this review, I uploaded the sign they have posted inside the store on the soda machine. It's worth noticing that it's not a hand-written sign posted by a frustrated employee. It's a really nice metal sign posted by management. Havings read that sign, here's my story:
The bagels here are the best in Tuscaloosa, no questions asked. The chain bread company bagels are not as good; the chain donut shop bagels are not as good. So compared to those choices, these are the best bagels in Ttown. I have had past experiences there where I walked in to order order bagels, and it took 15 minutes to get 6 uncut bagels into a sack after I paid for them, so this morning I ordered ahead, online, and gave them 4 hours to put 6 bagels, uncut, in a sack. I even arrived 15 minutes late to make sure I wasn't rushing them. When I got there, they could not find my online order. I had to show them my order confirmation on my phone. They were unaware of it. When they found it in their system and the proof that I had already paid, it still took 15 minutes to get 6 uncut bagel put in a paper sack.
Fair is fair: these are the best bagels in Tuscaloosa. They are not a fast food restaurant. You have to decide for yourself if it is worth the wait.

Amazing from start to finish- the customer service was the best!!! Iced coffee was superb - the bagels are chewy, the spreads are bursting with flavor, cinnamon roll was huge and gooey! This is a must try - beautiful spot... will definitely be back!
UPDATE 10/08/23- Bacon, egg, & cheese w/lettuce, tomato, mustard on a plain bagel. That was tasty with crisp bacon. 4 stars. Mimosa was tart, sour. 2 stars. The coffee was basic, not tasty. 2 stars.
0/06/23‐ Slow for a breakfast place.
It was clean inside, but there was no one taking orders while three people were waiting for their orders. The last person in line had been there at least 5 mins by her account. I'll have to try them later.
Tasty. I ordered the sausage egg and cheese on the Everything bagel. I like that you can choose your bagel flavors for the sandwiches. Bagels are 2.25, but adding cream cheese takes it up to 5.45.
It only took about 8 minutes from time of order to order ready. I visited at 8am on a Friday, I was the 2nd customer and then a third came in.
So stoked Tuscaloosa finally has a spot for legit fresh bagels!
A solid and uncluttered selection with plenty of variety between cheesy, savory, and sweet….
The folks behind the counter are sincere and friendly (none of that outdated fake-nice service counter put-on).
I ordered a breakfast sandwich online through their Google listing and it was super easy and the food was ready at the counter.
I enjoy reading (+/-) reviews (weird past time i know) and I gotta say i lol’d hard at some of the sour entitled nonsense reviews.
The food’s delicious, the service is genuine, the prices are fair, and ordering online is easy.
Can’t wait to try the bagel dough croissants next time, they looked bomb.
I had the same issue as another reviewer, I ordered a half dozen bagels to take home. Unsliced/untoasted. I LEFT A TIP thinking the cashier would turn around and throw my 6 bagels in a bag... nope... at the time i ordered there was nobody behind me in line!! But 15+ minutes later I still had no bagels so I decided to approach an employee and they did promptly throw my bagels in the bag and apologized.
They could have tossed in a free bagel to really drive home their appreciation but after 20 minutes I was just glad to get a competent employee that immediately executed and solved the problem. They were busy and working hard. A few minor tweaks are needed if another reviewer had this same issue. The bagels are delicious.

It’s a tasty bagel, but I stood in restaurant for 45 minutes calling in an order. I didn’t get helped after pressing their doorbell designed specifically for call ins. I get being short staffed, but even the Doordash orders had priority and got their food first over the costumers in the store. I saw an entire new set of faces from when I got there to when I ultimately left without a bagel.

Their bagels are dairy free, besides those that are clearly cheese flavored, so I was able to enjoy a blueberry bagel! For spreads, I had strawberry jam and vegan butter! I'm not sure what brand they use, but it was tasty! I also enjoyed an oatmilk latte. They took my food allergy seriously, so I recommend it to anyone with a dairy allergy and don't be afraid to reach out to them if you have a different one.
They have a sign that says, “We aren’t fast food.” That’s an excuse for lazy work and slow ticket times. You could’ve left that out and I wouldn’t have left a bad review, and I might have left a tip. Terrible mindset for any restaurant to have. I will not come here again.
EDIT: I saw your restaurant turn away a family of seven today. I waited 20 minutes just to be told that you were out of bagels. There are ways to avoid making detractors and turning away massive parties that most restaurants would be delighted to have.If you only listen to the sweet and happy comments and don’t accept the occasional negative ones and simply say, “80% think we’re enough,” you will never maximize your equity and achieve your 20%. Learn to take feedback and don’t be a cry baby. It’s a business; not playing pretend.
Got a sausage, egg, and cheese on an Asiago rosemary bagel with tomato and jalapeño. I also got the southern pecan iced coffee and wow….highly recommend! Doesn’t even need cream or sugar! We did not have to wait long either.
