Enjoy the scenic view from this fishing village restaurant built on stilts. Many cooking choices available, seafood is very fresh and prices are reasonable. Great view of the restaurant overlooking the Royal Selangor Yatch Club and Pulau Ketam jetty, it's a nice place to relax after meals
We have been eating around this area, especially the one nearer to the front junction and golf course in port klang but todays’ discovery is a must share as it’s our very first time. Crazy hidden but surely worth the trouble finding the restaurant. The fun facts though is that it’s just opposite the Port Klang Marina!!. Yup plenty might have shared about this Bagan Hailam and it’s restaurants but I just can’t resist posting about this one. The owner and staff is extra friendly and hospitable, the view is superb and the food is reasonable and tasty. We came on another rainy day hence having todi is a must 😂😂😂😂😂😂. The bbq “dirty” crab is a must and even the mid size ones are lots as all the crabs are brimming with meat. We couldn’t resist their recommendation of dry chilli salted cray fish ( Har Po in canton aka female mantis prawns ). The Hainam noodles topped our two person portion lunch and the only disappointment was the giant cockles which was sold out( a must try and target for next visit). The XXL tiger prawns was looking very sumptuous as well and definitely on our list of must try. Come here for the view and ambiance too as the location will surprise you ( spoiler mode: over looking the port klang marina with lots of boats parked)

Overall summary 3/5: mediocre food, average service and average environment.
Food 2.5/5: The Omelet Oyster (蠔煎, RM 15) was the best dish, generous portion of oysters and the omelet was crisp and not oily. The Teochew Steam Siakap (RM 50.50, 潮州蒸石甲) was ok. The Hailam Style Fried Prawns (RM 26) was disappointing, a bit of monotone in flavor, we should have ordered butter prawns instead. The crabmeat fried rice (RM 15 each, minimum order 2) was ok, interesting idea but nothing special.
Service 3/5: We went early to avoid crowd, but it still took about 20 minutes for them to serve the omelet.
You can tell there are about 4 staff around, but only 1 is actively responding to customers.
Environment 3/5: The sea view is ok, provided if you don't look down/don't look at the shore. You will lose appetite. The restaurant itself is ok, there's basin for you to wash your hands. The toilet is squad toilet.
Parking: Despite many said needing to pay, there's no one approach us for the parking fees. Granted, no many parking spaces available, we came early yet almost full.

Very delicious and fresh seafood... I had bbq crab, oyster omelette, lala soup and "hehgoh"... All seafood came in a huge sizing with very affordable pricing. Hailam Mee was good, but I would prefer to have more lime, a more acidic version.

Decent restaurant by the sea, windy if you are lucky. The portions are smaller that most places so that makes the price seem a little reasonable. Our 2nd time today, consistent quality and price. Friendly staff, we tried to call to make a reservation but they politely declined and said its strictly for walk ins only during weekend. We later found a couple of tables being reserved, prob for their VIP and regulars only..
Came here for dinner at hailam village, the dishes is not very big portion therefore can order a few more dishes to try. Once reached the parking area, you still need to walk a few minutes to reach the restaurant. No air cond, only enjoy the wind and view.

I didn’t expect much from here, but surprisingly the foods were okay. The crabs were fresh. Even the kam heong crab was just nice, not too salty like most places.
Though the size and portions rather confusing. We ordered large Lala soup but felt like it was not enough for 5 of us.
Yet the noodles was too much. Lol. So it’s good to consult them before ordering though the expectation and reality may still differ. The uncle always reminded us not too over order so that less wastage. He just said, order more later if not enough. Lol.
This is a family owned restaurant. We came here because it was recommended as an interesting place because of the location.
I don’t mind coming here again for the crabs. Definitely way cheaper than KL. If you don’t mind the 1 hour drive…

The restaurant sits on the Klang River with an open sea view, and one can enjoy the breeze in the evening. The Hailam style steam siakap fish was fresh, tasty, and the flavour was spot on. The simple boiled squid with homemade chilli style was to die for too. Hailam noodle is authentic. Pricing is reasonable. We ordered 5 dishes (noodle, prawn, fish, tofu, squid) and 3 non-alcoholic drinks, the total came up to RM125.

The sweet sour chilly Crabs were too spicy for us. Taste ok. Lamb Chop a bit hard to chew but very tasty ! Sting Ray fish is too crispy. Bamboo clams is too hard too but Tasty lo. Better order steam Mantis with ginger.
