My partner and I found this place on google, and after visiting the Sarangkot view point for sunrise decided to visit for an early morning tea. We are SO glad we did. The setting was so peaceful, especially in the early morning. We were surrounded by flowers, chickens scratching about for feed, morning birds and a warm sunrise glow across the hills and on the mountains visible from the tea house hut. What was even more glowing was the service by the young man running this establishment with his mother. He was exceptionally warm, hospitable and kind and we enjoyed a nice chat with him before having our tea. The black tea served was also the BEST I’ve had in Nepal to date, and for a ridiculously cheap price. Our experience here was a wholesome slice of Nepal, and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting an authentic taste of Nepali life. They also offer a camping home stay experience which we were disappointed we didn’t get to enjoy! Thank you Himalayan Tea House. We will visit again when we are next in Nepal!

A beautiful small garden/ tea house with stunning views over Annapurna and Pokhara. If you want to see the sunrise and avoid the morning crowd, this is the place to go to!
The owner (Milan) sells some hot and cold beverages as well as some food (noodles, toast and omelets) and snacks prepared by his mother. He is a great host and takes amazing pictures.
You can get here by hiking (about 3,5 hours from Lakeside) or take a taxi to Sarangkot viewpoint and walk up The stairs (about 15 mins)

I'm glad you I had a great experience at the Himalayan Tea House and Camping in Pokhara. The serene ambiance, breathtaking views, and friendly staff made my stay unforgettable. The tea house's authentic cuisine and comfortable accommodations added to the charm. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to return!

Hidden gem to see the Annapurna Himalayas from Sarangkot. A local family and a man called Milan allow guests to view the gorgeous mountains from their grounds, allowing for a surreal Marsian panaroma landscape during the 5:30AM sunrise. You can get tea (such as chai and ginger tea) and even some food (such as toast and egg) very cheaply if you wish. I would say this is our highest recommendation for a view point and experience when in Pokhara.

I went to this place back in 2007. They had the most amazing tea ever. The owner had a sister who was very very friendly with us

Great view early in the morning...fresh breez from the deep jungle below, you can see 360 degrees from here, and the tea was awesome, great location...
