My partner and I went and dined in for our anniversary, and we both loved the whole experience. The atmosphere is warm, intimate and cosy with a wonderful ambiance. The service was friendly and warm, you really felt welcomed throughout the whole evening. The food was brilliant, we enjoyed each and every dish, all the food was presented nicely, fresh and flavourful, the alcohol selection was very generous and I highly recommend the plum wine. Food is awesome. Patrick never lets us down with his amazing cooking! Staff and Elaine are very friendly! The environment is chill and relaxing with a nice Japanese ambience. The desserts are very yummy and is always a must as an after meal palate cleanser. I love the Apple Tempura but the Apple Spring Roll is also good. It’s not too sweet and the crunch from the batter and the apple adds texture and makes it an exciting dish. Highly recommend! Don’t ask what is good because everything is yummy! Must try everything!

Amazing food! Great if you want to taste a range of Japanese cuisine but don't want to commit to a full meal. Definitely a place for a group of people. It's a cozy little restaurant, the staff are friendly and attentive and food is lovely, we've been half a dozen times and had never disappointed. We came to Hanamizuki restaurant because it was already quite late and most places were closed. But this one little restaurant was open and we all love Japanese so we thought it would be perfect! And we were not let down! All the food was delicious especially the aged tofu and the teriyaki beef don! The staff was all extremely helpful and attentive and they provided us with all our needs. I had the most delicious meal here with my son tonight. We had the mixed tempura, mixed sashimi and the rock & roll sushi roll. All dishes were perfectly cooked and very tasty. We also ordered sake which we asked to be served heated. It was the perfect drink for a winter's night. I will definitely be visiting again next time I return to this town. Very disappointed. Tuna looked off or at least not fresh, taste was bland. The noodles in the ramen weren't great, the broth also lacked of pork bone flavour（only salty）. We left half and ate next door（Italy Pizza） ! If your going Japanese only go for the best ！

Hands down my all time favourite Japanese restaurant, been a regular for the past 1O plus years, it never disappoints the food is fantastic, great favours & the sizzling prawns are a stand out dish with the famous secret sauce. Relaxed dining & a crowd pleaser. Will keep coming back each time I visit & my friends love our catch up & the delicious food. Wish we could transport this restaurant to the bay. 10/10 to Patrick the owner.
