Now under new management and open for lunch as well as in the evening. Tess and Ian are super lovely and producing great food. We had lamb stew and the duck. Both delicious. Followed that up with a fig and medronho pudding (you’ve got to have it with ice-cream!) Edit: we've been back and the food is even better. We had pork cheek and ox-tail stew. So much flavour! We went on a quiet Tuesday evening in January but the welcome was very warm! Great food I had the coconut prawns and my girlfriend had the Ox-tail both were perfectly cooked. Great wine selection and recommendations, we will be going back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What’s there not to like?! Excellent food, very nice service and a great time. Tess and Ian are giving you the feeling that you’re their only guests. A lot of personal attention in a very Nice atmosphere. The menu has a lot of special items on it. We had philipine beef stew and lamb in Champaign sauce. Both of them were excellent! This place was an amazing find, recently taken over by Ian & Tess in the last few months, their passion for food is quite evident! Very friendly and relaxed! Without a doubt the best food we’ve experienced in Portugal so far! We will absolutely be returning! I sincerely wish them the success they deserve! A wonderful restaurant though very quiet when we went there on a Tuesday night. We enjoyed pigs cheeks slowly cooked in a rich sauce and Philippino beef curry. All cooked beautifully for us. Our wine was excellent and followed by a free glass of port. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Just the best experience ever. The food was by far the best we have had in Lagos. Everything was made fresh and you could really taste the care that was put into it. We had a traditional Portuguese soup with Stingray followed with lamb cooked in champagne and some oxtail with a red wine stew. I honestly can't express enough how perfect it was. And the service was AMAZING!!! Tess, Ian and Joao were the friendliest people you could ask for. I will be dreaming about this place until I'm back in Lagos. Excellent place for traditional Portuguese food. You feel in a house of a local with the handwritten menu, the Portuguese cooks and staff. My octopus was the most tender I ever had, the seafood & beans casserole was very good too. Place was jammed so make a reservation before coming.
