The Grand Cafe is one of the best cafes in Katuneriya town, and is actually the very first Cafe that opened in town over twenty years ago. They have set standards for a proper Cafe which other cafes now follow. They have some great tea and coffee options, and also some nice Sri Lankan snack options. Grand is well known for the selection of delicious cakes available off the shelf and also for custom orders. Also the selection of burgers and buns for breakfast which is very popular with school kids on the mornings. Convenient parking right in front of the shop.

Today 13/02/24 at 8.00 a.m. food is good but still as a long time customer I can say without a doubt food quality has degraded also the customer service too. Many Tables were not properly cleaned.

Food is good. But the staff is awkward. Asked some hot water to wash my hands because food was oily. Steward didnt bring. Instead, I saw him serving other tables. When inquired, about 30 minutes later, cashier says they dont give hot water in finger bowls.
If the management doesn't address their attitude issues, the cafe will have a downfall sooner or later.

The Grand coffee shop is definitely a brand and this Katuneriya outlet is definitely worth a visit. This coffee shop would be the finest if you're searching for a spot to unwind and read some books or whatever. The greatest coffee is offered there, and they even have some freshly baked goodies. This shop's atmosphere was quite soothing, very vibrant and relaxing. And the employees is indeed very competent. I had everything I needed, so I couldn't have asked for more. Good work, guys!
