My parents have been in the area for almost 30 years. We were looking for somewhere new to eat and we realised we hadn't been here before for some reason. So we decided to try it out but read the reviews here 1st. With 2 poor reviews we weren't sure how it would be. Well I think it's safe to say they've taken the reviews seriously and done something about it. We were greeted by Alister when we came in along with his beeming smile and shown to a table with a fantastic view! Some of us had the Sunday roast and everyone enjoyed their meals very much. Service was excellent all round and the pizza I had was great! Will definitely be back and also recommend to our guests at Manwood Lodge that they visit. I walked into the restaurant at 9:00am on a Sunday morning. No greeter, no signs, no welcome of any kind. After wandering around for a minute or two, I sat down at a table near a door where it appeared the kitchen might be. Someone finally noticed me and offered me a menu. I ordered a black coffee, but the waiter repeated my order back as an Americano (not what I wanted). I then ordered a double espresso with hot milk on the side. It was obviously made into a cold cup (the outdoor temperature was 5° C, and the restaurant is semi-outdoors), as it came out lukewarm. The "hot milk" was actually cool milk. After overcoming the waiter's lack of service skills, I ordered scrambled eggs well done, and toast well done. The eggs came out runny, and the toast was basically just warmed bread. Better luck next time.

Sat at table for almost an hour ..others around me got attended to ...waiters walked right past me but Noone attended to me I eventually walked out...SERVICE IS TERRIBLE

We were disappointed they had a Sunday breakfast special, we saw it as we were walking out, we had the full breakfast that was offered on the special they charged us full price and would not give us the special price.
