I’m not someone who leaves reviews often, but this place amazed me.
Tasty food, big portions, and ambience of the place that is loved by locals. We came to Krpan at 10 pm, and there were only 2 vacant tables. It was Saturday night, but still.
Extra gratitude to the waiter who served us. Professional, who does his job well.
Oh, and about prices! We came from Maribor, and in our city such food would cost 20% more. In the menu you will find anything your gourmet taste would desire. Traditional Slovenian cuisine, Italian dishes, and American burgers, of course.
In a nutshell, highly recommended for visiting!

Great food, great prices! Clean dining areas, good service. Large portions for lunch, and you get a side salad and soup. Parking could be a challenge during peak times. Would definitely go back.
It is a spacious place with lovely atmosphere. My husband said he had the best ribs ever, I ordered steak and it was soft and tender. I wish they could have redwine reduction sauce which goes best with steak.

The ribs are falling off the bone! This place was an unexpected surprise - everything we had was delicious, the staff is friendly and English speaking, the decor modern and clean. They seem really popular so it might be a good idea to reserve a table in advance. We got a table at a corner with plenty of space for doggo (who devoured the bones with gusto) Highly recommend!

We had the lamb roast and the the schnitzel and they were both fantastic!
They also have an amazing selection of fresh cakes.
Prices are very fair for the quality and portions.
Also the menu is available in several languages and English.
They only thing did not make me very happy is that they charge (0.60 cents) for a take away box for my left over food but since they charge for it they could at least have some more ecological containers.
The rest was definitely fantastic and we would come back!

One of the best Ribs we've tried, slowly cooked to perfection.
We found Gostilna KRPAN by chance looking for a place to have dinner after a long trip and we were amazed by the quality and variety of the food they serve. Reasonable prices, very clean facility and excellent friendly service.
We had to travel once again to Šmarje pri Jelšah just to visit Krpan before we left Slovenia.
