Wonderful snorkelling, we bought our own gear so was very easy. Cost 2000vat/person to swim here. Basic fish and chips lunch maybe a bit overpriced at 2500vat however was delicious. Definitely worth popping in if you love snorkelling, heaps to explore and we had the beach to ourselves. Cool to see the huge clam shells! We definitely would go back. Only found this because our driver recommended, would be easy to miss without local knowledge as no signage. Stopped here for lunch while driving around the island. No signage but keep your eyes out for the Havana Blue accommodation signs. Grilled fish of the day with chips and salad was 2000 or 2500vat, and a bowl of chips was about 500vat. With two beers this came to about 3700vat, which we thought was pretty expensive for what it was. Food was decent though and not a lot of other options while driving around that way! Great view of the beach while eating lunch though! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Friendly little place off the highway. Great place to stop for lunch and snorkel. Food is good and beers icy cold. Keep an eye out for the Giant Clams just off beach.

This is a beautiful place, but this is hard to write. I’d have trouble recommending the food here. 6000vt or around 80AUD for a fish burger and a few prawns (average tasting) with some fries, and two beverages is just a bit rich. If it was half the price I’d upgrade it from 1 star to 2. But to get better than that the quality would need a big leap to improve. This was a great little hidden-away spot. We didn't eat while here (meals seem to be steak/chicken/fish with chips and salad combos - though those eating seemed to enjoy it) but the bartender was good enough to let us use the snorkeling gear to go off the shore as we didn't have any of our own at the time. This was totally free and you literally just have to step in to the water to be met with expansive beds of coral and schools of fish. We spent all afternoon in the water and warmed up with a simple tea as the sun set (though could have easily enjoyed something stronger from the bar, if so inclined 😉). Bring your own gear and seek out this little gem!

Had lunch 10 May, 2023. Worst food I’ve had in Vanuatu. Steak sandwich - ‘steak’ meat slab inedible. Didn’t see Gideons signs - perhaps new owners??

Most beautiful place to stop for lunch and a snorkel while traveling around the island. Staff were super friendly and food was good.

Not sure if this is the exact place, but the pictures on google maps would suggest it is (so take this review with a pinch of salt). Overall, it’s a very pretty place on the beach, with a great reef to snorkel. Make sure you do bring your own snorkelling equipment though because the stuff they have there is very limited, old, and in disrepair (which is where they lose 1 star).

Family run place and a little run down, but the local fish lunches are excellent. Tuna sashimi and poulet fish wings on the menu the day I visited, and both were first rate. Change rooms and toilets available for good snorkeling and swimming in Havannah Harbour. Great views. BBQ's and picnic areas also available.
