My kids and I recently went to Gengy’s and were very excited but to my surprise there was mould build up in the chillers where you chose your food. The jug that held the pancake batter looked like it hadn’t been washed for a while because of the amount of dry built up pancake batter on it. It just felt over all grubby and I’m gutted because I loved Gengys so much when I was a kid. Would be awesome if it was kept clean and hygienic.. This place is one of Rotorua’s most loved and well known. The staff are lovely and the food is delicious. You chose your raw food from a large selection and from there they cook it in front of you. Eat all you can. Stomach was full, but heart was not. Great selection of food. Create your own recipe on the go. Must visit when in Rotorua. 😋

Excellent food choice at a reasonable price. Food was constantly bring refilled so there was always extra choices. Will definitely eat here again.

Gengy’s is a good place to have a buffet in the holiday season. Staff are very friendly, foods are tasty. There are variety meats to choose, enough snacks and ice creams.

Overall this is one of the worse food experiences I have ever have. Services was awful, food was awful. Lack of options, staff unable to cope on a Tuesday night. Do not ever come here.
