Had a dinner and lunch here. Deserts excellent but Starters and Main only average. Good sizes servings.
Attentive service and good ambience.
Overall disappointing especially given the premium pricing.

Buffalo Steak
Probably the best French restaurant in town!
We tried several dishes - starters (saladl), main (beef steak and scallops risotto) and dessert (passion fruit meringe tart),... all are great - ingrediants, how they were cooked and taste, all just right with high quality.
Housed in an old building, the atmosphere is cosy and comfy. Lots of tree and shades. Both seatings indoor and in the courtyard.
The price may be quite high (but this is an upscale restaurant ...so it should be expected.) However for the quality and servive I think it's worth it!
Definitely worth youe money and time to be there!

The atmosphere was amazing and the service beyond! Very friendly and helpful, it was obvious they cared if I was enjoying my meal!
I had the fixed menu, and they changed the duck for fish and a nice cappuccino afterwards.
The food was nice but I wouldn’t say it was that special, as far as taste is concerned! Ingredients absolutely fresh, scallops great, but nothing fancy to justify the price (compared to other local places).
It was more “nice comfort food” type of restaurant for the taste, while the ambiance was more to fine dining.
Overall it worths going but only if you have many days in the city and you are not missing something different and more exciting

What a fantastic treat! An amazing French restaurant in Luang Prabang! Every dish we sampled was delicious. The mushroom soup with bruschetta, Buffalo carpaccio, taglietelle in cream sauce with truffles, duck breast, scallop risotto, salmon crepes....all delectable!
We learned of this place after researching another French place in the neighborhood. I'm so happy we chose this delightful little eatery. The tasters menu was perfect and all the alla carte dishes were scrumptious! Everything was exquisitely plated, too!
Definitely a must try place if you're in Luang Prabang!

So good we went twice! Yeah it’s pricey in comparison to eating locally here but if you want upscale for its value this is the place. The favorite thing is the onion tart!! And the truffle pasta (not your typical Laos dish) but we wanted a break from the fried rice. It would be a miss if you don’t come here

We’ve been wanting to try this place when we were in Luang Prabang 6 years ago, but we didn’t get the chance. This year, we got to experience Gaspard cuisines with my in-laws. I made a reservation through their website, but we arrived half an hour early and our table was ready. My husband and I ordered Filet de Buffle (Buffalo) medium with different sauces, Béarnaise and black peppercorn. My mom in-law ordered Saumon à la provença (Pan fried Scottish salmon fillet with herbal crust and ratatouille) and my dad in-law ordered Risotto de St Jacques et légumes croquants (Melting Risotto with sea scallops & organic greens). All came at the same time, and we got to taste their amuse-bouche while waiting. We enjoyed our food with a bottle of red Borsao Bodegas Seleccion from Spain. Everything was so perfect, delicious, and smooth from the start to the beginning. We didn’t order the desserts as we were already full but I’m sure it’ll be wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place for those who appreciate food not just for for its appearance but also for delicate taste. We will definitely return to this place again whenever we’re in Luang Prabang. I didn’t take picture of each dish as pictures won’t do justice unless you experienced it yourself.
