No doubt one of the best meals I’ve ever had. By far the best in Tulum, and the best out of all the places we visited during our two week trip in Mexico. Every single dish is an out-of-this-world experience, creating a brand new explosion of flavours in your mouth.
The service is excellent, we felt right at home, we got to know the history behind every dish, every ingredient, every flavour. Each ingredient was carefully chosen to guarantee freshness, presenting modern, innovative flavour with in-season ingredients
We left the restaurant feeling ecstatic, and we’re already planning on coming back to try the breakfast tomorrow, as well as another dinner (at least) before we leave.

Absolutely worthy of a michelin star . We ended off going 3 times in 2 days and attempted to try the whole menu. The chef truly cares about his end product. He puts the Art in culinary arts. We are from Chicago and are no strangers to finer foods.
This restaurant has contemporary Mexican food and I would classify it as gourmet quality 👌🏼 and amazingly cheap. If you were to get the same food at the States, you could easily pay 3 times more and above. The dishes were creative and delicious. If you're in a rush, this is not the place to go since the dishes are prepared fresh and meticulously. We were greeted by the chef and I loved to see the passion and care he devoted to his restaurant.
One of the best meals I have had in months traveling across Mexico. The space isn’t fancy but the food is gourmet and well-priced. We had the bone marrow, sweet potatoes golden tacos, fish of the day, and chicken confit tacos. Everything was delicious! Drinks were also very tasty.

Chicken Confit Taco
Dined here last night and had a great experience. Very creative and well presented three (3) food courses and a perfectly made cocktail. The shrimp and bone marrow was absolutely delicious and the chicken entree was perfectly prepared and presented. Friendly customer service as well. Highly recommended and one of my favorite restaurants in Tulum Centro.
Wonderful, creative take on Mexican food. Cute small place that punches above its weight. We tried fancier establishments but none achieved the interesting aspects that this did. Drinks were also well thought out and service was excellent as well.

What was meant to be popping in for a quick bite to eat turned into a four course meal! The staff here were unbelievably generous and kind. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the food. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Tulum. We were treated to a complimentary appetizer AND dessert. I really can’t express how kind the owner was. The food was delicious, as well as beautiful. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Our hotel guide recommended this place to us. I thought it was incredible that everyone rated it 5 stars so I thought it must be really good.
The place was quiet when we went (a Saturday evening), no one was there before us or after us. It looks like it is a converted garage if you look at the details closely. But they decorated and painted it really nicely.
Our waitress recommended the aguachile with shrimp and pumpkin blossoms and the beef tacos. So we tried those two and the catch of the day, which was a white fish that tasted similar to salmon with a pumpkin puree.
I was not really impressed with the food, I had high expectations when everyone gave it 5 stars. The food was unique, but not weird or unusual in anyway. I don't think we ordered the wrong things, we just weren't impressed.
The positive was the waitress was not shy with the alcohol in our drinks (although the cocktails are not listed, they can make most of the classics.) And there is a cute swing.

GAIAD was easily our best meal while vacationing in Tulum. No hype, no overpriced food/drinks, only an extremely passionate chef and staff about their food and flavors. Each dish exceeded the last in taste and creativity. Don’t miss this hidden gem of an experience!

For an upscale take on classic dishes I highly recommend this spot. It’s very unassuming and not usually that busy but don’t let that fool you. The food was simply outstanding! Layers of flavor presented in beautiful form. You really have to go here and try things for yourself, it’s difficult to describe how tasty it is. Highly recommend their desert as well!
