This restaurant offers you great dishes of Japanese cuisine. You will enjoy its food, particularly nicely cooked prawns, dragon rolls and nigiri. It is good to try delicious martinis or good beer. A lot of reviewers mention that you can drink good tea at Fuji Sushi & Hibachi. Visitors don't like ice cream at this place. Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. I took my kids here for a Christmas Eve dinner. My son met us there and he was running a little late, so they wouldn't seat us at the grill until he came. When we got seated we had to wait 25 minutes for your food/show to get started because there were only two cooks that night. The food was great the Miso soup was not that good I had better. The drinks were water down. After we got our food they were brought out to go boxes. I felt like we were rushed. We went on new years eve without a reservation. Really good food and wait staff. Only one bartender for a busy night! Will return. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Went here for a friends birthday. Waited for over 2 hours to be sat. Then waited another 30 mins at the table until we were acknowledged. The staff didn’t care about our wait time, empty drinks, taking our order, or simply greeting us in a friendly manner. Will never come back. Hands down the worst dining experience I have had in my life. I have never sent food back before, and I did here with both the "sushi" and the Chicken Pad Thai. The sushi rice was hot, and was just a piece of sashimi sitting on the rice. No roll, no seaweed wrap, nothing. The bare minimum of effort. I cannot stress enough how bad hot rice with sashimi on it is. The Pad Thai was tofu even though I ordered chicken. They insisted it was correct. My wife's chicken tempura was cold inside. Not room temperature, but as cold as if it had came from a refrigerator. I have never in my life had such a bad experience at a restaurant. Truly, truly terrible. The hibachi show was good, the chef gave us a lot of fun. The foods were not bad! However, we felt really bad for the service from the waitress…. I don’t understand how come she gave us the check 10 minutes after the hibachi show ended and kept checking if we were ready to pay the check. We were really enjoyed the meal at the beginning. After this happened, we chose to eat very fast, paid the bill and left. We liked the foods at this restaurant, but we don’t think we want to come back anymore because of the service. Kids friendly, bit overcrowded, good customer service, quick food delivery. They have great selection of specialty sushi’s. Prices are fairly reasonable. Music is not obnoxiously loud but pleasant so you can have conversation with your company. 6/2023 update: portions are getting smaller and prices are increasing Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Mediocre and expensive. I ordered the Fuji Bowl and the Special fillet mignon, scallop, and lobster. My family ordered some sushi and other hibachi dishes. While I could not speak for their experience but my own, below is my assessment of the dinner. Starting with the Fuji bowl, the representation and aesthetic were lacking. The bowl resemble a mushroom that lost its stem. The straws were ugly and cheap. The drink was not good. I could taste the cheap sugary liquor, instead of whatever they promised to put in. Moving on to the entrée. The waitress brought out the salad to go with the entrée. The salad was not fresh and dressing look watered down. Again, presentation was not there to provoke any kind of appetize. Then, they brough out the actual entrée, and I was speechless. This entrée was $50. There were a bowl of rice, twelve small cubes of "fillet mignon", two shrimps, 4 scallops, and eight small balls of "lobster". First, I did not expect everything to be cut up to bite size. Second, I could have got way more with $20 at Sarku Japan in the West Town Mall. That was mockery of dinner. They gave a lot of rice and little of everything else. And finally the service. I came in and told the host that we will have a party of nine. She was stacking the menus up to take me to my table, then another family of three walk in and she immediately took them to their table and left me there at the entrance. The server, while I was ordering my food, she made a face when I told her I want my fillet mignon extra rare. She commented "so, no cooking" smirking at me. And I had to explain to her that you would sear the steak. The service while was not horrible but rather unprofessional. Overall, the hibachi was not terrible. It tasted about the same as any Japanese stir fried food chain in Madison. My family who ordered sushi and other dishes had nothing good to say about their meals. It is mediocre at the most, especially for its price. I will not come back again.
My wife's favorite restaurant. It also happens to be my son's, so it's not a surprise that she chose this dining spot for her birthday dinner recently. Her folks, and our kids came along as well. I had a salmon appetizer, which was decent, and the coffee was very good as well. But both paled in comparison to the amazing dinner we were served. Our table chef fried up rice, vegetables, and an assortment of fish and meats. Lisa and Brett experimented with different Sushi rolls. They also ate shrimp and scallops with their rice. Bree and Brynne couldn't stop talking about the chicken. My father in law picked steak. And I had an assortment of steak, lobster, and scallops. It was phenomenal, and our table chef was pleasant, kind, and entertaining. Our waitress clearly knew what she was doing as well. While a Japanese restaurant would not have been my first pick had it been my birthday...I still found the food and overall experience to be exceptional.
