Sweet Jesus yes! This place was amazing!!! I didn’t know what to expect but gosh this was all kinds of good! I have no idea what I asked for or what I ate but it was phenomenal! You have to stop here and eat if you don’t well we can’t be friends lol but seriously eat here :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A surprise lunch meal! When we were going to the place we wanted to go to it was closed so we came across 5 on Black and thought we would give it a try. A build a bowl lunch meal that was fresh, clean tasting and delicious. Very casual environment, very friendly service. Having never been there before the young women working there gladly gave me recommendations which I really appreciated. Definitely will go back!

So we visited Bozeman town on the way to yellow stone national park and randomly sopped at this place after seeing some reviews. After trying the food it beat all the expectations, the food is so good and fresh, the workers are so friendly and explained about all the ingredients. Especially the bread balls are so so good. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Bozeman. 5/5 stars Service Dine in

Watched one employee tell a customer to come back and make their own food today when there was a short line waiting. I felt bad for the other guy, he didn't know what to say and walked out. Needless to say, watching that interaction spoiled the mood of enjoying my own lunch. WTH happened to this restaurant in the last couple years? So disappointing. My son really likes going here for the spicy food. My wife enjoys it as well when we are visiting Bozeman. The portions are more than ample. We had lots of leftovers after lunch. Only downside was not the two steps coming into the restaurant, my daughter has cerebral palsy, but the fact that they put the "handicap entrance around back" sign on the inside of the door on the lower right side. Why would anybody who's in a wheelchair need to know about where the entrance is at on their way out? Apparently the locals know where it is at because a man in a wheelchair came in shortly after us from the back door. I pointed out this to one of the employees who said she never noticed. Not upset, most people who don't know somebody who's handicap don't notice when things are just dumb. Hopefully they put the sign on the outside of the door. I ordered this bowl and I was really excited to try a new cuisine style. I was expecting them to be pretty good and I have to say the food was alright. Maybe a bit spicy for general taste, but alright. This was the only meal I had for the day and in less than an hour after the meal I got sick and then it came diarrhea. I don’t have any food allergy. And I don’t eat fast. Something in the food was bad. With such mixed ingredients, it is difficult to taste anything bad. Probably they need better quality check or better hygiene. I had mixed greens and brown rice as a base, tilapia, sweet potato, and coconut sauce. It was absolutely a lovely blend of flavors and textures. The pao queijo was too dry for what I was used to from Five on Black years ago, but again, all the flavors were excellent. This restaurant reminded me of Chipotle. Same idea, only difference is Chipotle Burritos vs Five on Black's variious bowls. The tilapia was good, the rice was ok, the flavor was familiar. The tiny bread was the only unfamiliar flavor. But, it was very tasty. This is a good place for a a quick lunch.
