This place is located conveniently in the middle between the pharmacy and the laundromat...I go here and get a garlic sausage roll and a steak and kidney pie....now I don't even like kidneys but they have done a brilliant job at making it one of the best steak and kidney pies I have ever had! The service flows really well and yesterday the woman serving me made a mistake and gave me a pepper steak pie instead, I ate it and didn't mind because any of their pies are pretty good. I went back to get the steak and kidney pie and she insisted I take the pie on them cause they made a mistake...brilliant service and staff always have music pumping! There sweet treats bread rolls and sandwiches are so tasty but their savoury items are very salty. No offence but stopped buying the small pies and family pies,for that very reason. Otherwise a very clean bakery, very friendly helpful and patient staff. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'm very picky with cakes etc, I can easily taste if the cream is old or food isn't fresh. This is the only place I buy cake like stuff from because it always tastes fresh.. I hope it always will. Pies etc are a matter of preference but they're pretty good too. Great selection of everything.

First week in Whanganui and when asking locals about a bakery, it came back a resounding yes to Fitzies and I can tell you they lived up to expectations. The caramel cheesecake was to die for, the lasagne omg good. I will def be back and finding out they are just across the road made it even better. Yum. I got my hair done today and was starving after and I had been thinking about Fitzies for hours. They did not fault. The steak, bacon & cheese pie is to DIE for. Everyone is smiley, you’re never waiting for long before you’re out of there. And never had a stale item ever!
