Title: A Memorable Culinary Journey at Firehouse 12 Firehouse 12, nestled in the heart of New Haven, is nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. My recent visit to this remarkable establishment was marked by a cascade of flavors, immaculate service, and an atmosphere that merged elegance with a comforting familiarity. The food was a tour de force of creativity and craftsmanship, starting with the mushrooms. Their earthy, robust flavor was expertly accentuated with thoughtful seasoning and preparation techniques. Every bite was a testament to the chef's understanding of the ingredient, combining an array of textures that made each mouthful a pleasure to savor. The tofu dish was no less impressive. Tofu, often seen as a mere substitute, was championed here as a star in its own right. Its firm yet delicate texture paired excellently with the vibrant blend of flavors it was cooked in. This tofu dish was not just a culinary delight, it was also a statement that simple ingredients can indeed create extraordinary dishes when handled with mastery. As for the beverages, the mezcal I had was unbelievable. It had a smoky undertone that lingered at the back of your palate, adding a whole new layer of depth to the experience. The drink was well-balanced and complemented the dishes flawlessly, elevating the whole dining experience to a symphony of flavors. A highlight of the evening was the commendable service led by Ned, the bartender. His knowledge, professionalism, and warm demeanor added an extra touch of perfection to the evening. He ensured that the cocktails were mixed to perfection, and his ability to craft the mezcal into an unforgettable experience spoke volumes about his expertise. In conclusion, Firehouse 12 is a shining gem in New Haven's dining scene. It's a place where food is not just a meal but an experience, where service is not just a courtesy but a commitment. If you're in the city and looking for a memorable dining experience, make sure to make a reservation at Firehouse 12. Your taste buds will thank you.
I agree with the person bellow me. Best vegan food in New Haven hands down. I discovered them when they were just doing pickup and delivery but I can't wait to eventually try out the cocktails there once they reopen fully. Edit: I keep ordering from this place. How do they cook everything perfectly every time.

The food here is entirely vegan and I can say confidently that this is the best vegan food I’ve had in New Haven. I have had some really amazing vegan food in other cities and have been overall very disappointed with the vegan food that’s in New Haven but this place is the unsung hero. It gives me hope that there is good vegan food in the city. I had the impossible burger, potatoes and spinach. The food was flavorful and you can tell that the chef puts a lot of time into creating the menu options. I would love to come into the bar and sit down and eat. The indoor seating area is closed but you can order to go and I will definitely be ordering again.
Magnificant, modern and well thought out. The living space is the best idea you've had for a hang out. Everything is as stylish and convenient as it is comfortable.

Cozy little beautiful subterranean cocktail bar. Wonderful small-plate food with great inventive vegan options. Good wine and craft brew selection. Friendly fast service. Tell only your favorite people.
This place is a nice little gem in New Haven. It is in a quieter part of town, and is located downstairs in what seems to be the basement of what used to be a firehouse. Now it is a bar with a dimly lit and cozy setting with plenty of comfy seating areas. The vibe is mellow and it is never really too crowded or loud. The bartender is nice and accommodating. They have a reasonable selection of house cocktails and a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits. There's nothing too fancy here, but there's definitely something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable. The food menu is actually pretty impressive. They have a selection of very reasonably priced small plates and flatbread sandwiches that have very unique flavor profiles. There was this dish that had grilled white cheese topped with olives and pickled watermelon that was really tasty. Also, there was a cheesy flatbread sandwich that was also pretty delicious. Firehouse 12 is a great place to go for a drink or a snack in New Haven, especially if you are looking for a quieter place to enjoy time with friends in a nice environment. They apparently have live music at times, but I've never encountered it.
Excellent space. I didn't visit the bar but I looked down and the ambience and seating looked wonderful. The studio was a terrific space to enjoy a set of Avant-garde jazz. Ample seating, great lighting, and the sound was to die for. Two thumbs way up! The box office associate and the production manager were both huge helps. I'll be back soon!

One of my favorite bars to frequent in New Haven. Awesome staff, always surprised with how many cocktails the bartenders know how to make. The only negative is that it fills up fast and it gets hard to find a seat.
