Fifty five croissants is a quaint little restaurant with a lovely setting. The savoury croissants were nice and light however the almond croissants we found to be inedible. They were extremely dense and hard. I have had baked croissants before and they have never been this bad. Left majority of the food behind. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

The croissants were out of this world and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere of this little coffee shop is so lovely and the staff is very friendly! A lovely place for brekke. Food is very good, generous portion, presentation a bit lacking, service is average for a small town, unremarkable. Atmosphere is quite lovely. Price maybe a bit steep but not outlandish. We go once or twice a month. Would go weekly if more affordable. Food taste and the setting brings us back. Lovely little coffee shop with a unique twist of their main food offering being croissants! Cute front section with some clean decor. They also have an upstairs section for those who want to sit for a bit longer and enjoy their mid morning snack. The carrot cake looked amazing and I'll definitely be back to try some!

I wish we had the experience that the other reviewers are ranting about. Food was acceptable, but not exceptional. Coffees had to be sent back to be warmed up, had to ask where the rest of our order was and overall service was not what you would expect from a small coffee shop that wasn’t even that busy at the time. The male barista was very friendly though, but we had to wait for our waiter to get out the loo before we could make payment - odd. Rather disappointing visit.

Food was great however, we received extremely bad service from the one waiter whom I believe is fairly new as we are use to the Twins and the older blonde lady. We had to place our order with the blonde lady as our original waiter never checker on us or brought what we ordered. When we wanted to pay, we asked to see the bill, our original waiter had an attitude and said that’s not how they do things and they add an additional 10% to each bill which we don’t mind but would at least like to be told before we just had to pay. The best almond croissant by a wide margin in the Cape. The best of Cape coffee vibes set in an historic cottage with on street cafe tables. Very busy on Saturday morning so waiting staff struggled a bit, but was well worth the wait. Very cute coffee and croissant shop. Need a healthy option? They have Juice and Kombucha as well. They are a little small but I am sure that if you call ahead they can make space for a bigger group. The seating includes a few normal tables and chairs, as well as a side bar and a few couches. It is a YES from me!
