Absolutely loved this place! The general manager Daniella was so professional and knowledgeable, the live performance by Diego was grade A (he will be a star one day) and the wine was to die for! The ambience in this place was phenomenal, the hubby and I will be back!
I Loved This Place!!!! The atmosphere is like walking back in time! It's a layback place to sip on some great spirits! It had a old fashion look! So, of course, I had a Smoked Old Fashion! Yeah, the Mule come next! They have a great back patio with a large fire pit to take the chill off! It is so cool and leather chic or rustic! Plenty areas to lounge and sip drinks! Great candles and Merch for sale! I had to have a Rum candle, and it smells awesome! Hubby had a pecon pie moonshine drink, tasted like a dessert! This place looks like it holds so much history! You have to check it out! Our bartender was so awesome. The music played list was the best fit for the ambiance of the bar! 60's to 80's soul and jazz and classic rock! I so wish I lived closer! This is worth a weekend trip! You must experience this cool place! Thanks, Elk Store Winery&Distillery, for taking us back to the good old day! I Shall Return!!!
A nice bar, we had some tasty, quite large and very boozy cocktails, all good! The weird part was when we then tried out the wine bar section to find out they don’t stock any local wines, seems odd to be surrounded by vineyards and then not have a single option available. We didn’t travel all the way to Texas to have wine from Europe?! I get that they are trying to find a niche is a very wine filled town but maybe a selection of wines from around the world *including* the US would be a good option?

Miguel is the best bartender I've had in the entirety of my short existence. The drinks he makes ignites flavors in my imagination that I didn't know exist. This is the place to come if you want to expand your pallet and enjoy yourself. Everyone here is a true master of their craft. Never have I been disappointed in the service at Elk store. This place is truly one of a kind and will change the way you experience life. The bartenders and the drinks will unlock doors you didn't know you could open. If there is one place in Fred I would visit its Elk store.

We are visiting from out of town and a local that grew up here recommended this place and specifically told me to get the espresso martini. I'm thinking great, I love espresso martinis and I can't wait. We walk in about 9:30 tonight the place is really cute. I love the vibe, the music, the ambiance. Wait staff was all nice and accommodating. Not too busy, not dead, just perfect. We sit at the bar and I see this gorgeous espresso machine and I'm like YES I want an espresso martini. I proceed to watch the bartender make me an espresso martini with coffee liquor and no espresso??? I thought it was someone else's drink. He goes to the espresso machine(and I'm like yes now it's time for my cocktail) to the container that has all the coffee beans ready to grind and takes the lid off to grab two of them as a garnish and hands me the drink. I paid $18 for an overpriced vodka and coffee liquor drink with two coffee beans as a garnish. We sat there for the next hour watching several other espresso martinis being prepared by this bartender and the other one and it was all the same, they didn't touch the espresso machine. Maybe the machine is broke and if so just take it off the menu. Maybe this flys with most but it was just a overly sweet mess and what a rip off. And it was a $2-$3 premium to rhe other cocktails we tried. I want to support these small businesses but be better.

I just wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at Elk Store Winery & Distillery and give you a review of their incredible cocktail called the Pineapple Paloma. Firstly, let me start by saying that the atmosphere at Elk Store Winery & Distillery was absolutely delightful. The cozy and inviting ambiance made me feel right at home as soon as I stepped through the door. The friendly staff greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel like a valued guest throughout my entire visit. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the Pineapple Paloma cocktail. Oh boy, where do I even begin? This drink truly exceeded all my expectations. As a lover of both pineapple and tequila, this concoction was a match made in heaven for me. The combination of the tropical sweetness from the pineapple and the subtle kick from the tequila created a harmonious blend of flavors that danced on my taste buds with every sip. It was truly a refreshing and satisfying beverage that left me wanting more. What impressed me the most about the Pineapple Paloma was the craftsmanship that went into making it. The bartender's attention to detail was evident, from the perfectly balanced ingredients to the artful presentation. The drink was beautifully garnished with a fresh slice of pineapple and a sprig of mint, elevating the overall experience and making it even more visually appealing. Beyond the fantastic cocktail, I also have to commend the bar staff for their knowledge and passion for mixology. They were more than happy to share their expertise and suggest other drinks I might enjoy based on my preferences. Their dedication to their craft was inspiring and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my time at Elk Store Winery & Distillery In conclusion, I would highly recommend visiting Elk Store Winery & Distillery and trying the Pineapple Paloma for yourself. The combination of their inviting atmosphere, attentive staff, and exceptional cocktail selection makes it a stand-out destination for any cocktail enthusiast. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and discovering more gems on their menu. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you find it helpful, and I encourage you to experience the Pineapple Paloma at Elk Store Winery & Distillery firsthand. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
The Elk Store is a must-see and visit location when in Fredericksburg. We grabbed drinks and food while spending time together in the establishment.

One of our favorite places to visit in Fritztown! Great craft cocktails! The Brown Derby, Blackberry Manhattan and Old Cuban are masterful! Their charcuterie board is a winner too. 👍👍

This is a fantastic gem in the hill country. Great wine selection and craft cocktails. They also do flights. The atmosphere is chill, but I could see it getting pretty lively. If you’re in Fredericksburg, this is a must.
The drinks were absolutely amazing, and the cheese board too, I genuinely admire the bartender, he is an artist. My 4 stars is because I waited too long for my drinks, and is not because of the bartender, he was very fast, but this place only has 1 guy to do the cocktails and to charge the drinks or cheeseboards. Every cocktail takes time, and if you have some people in front of you, you could easily wait 20 minutes to get your drink. I would recommend this place to have 1 person charging all the cocktails, and the bartender just making the cocktails, it would help to improve the waiting time.
