I love the enchiladas Monterey. I've been eating them for over 20 years! The fajitas are great if you want less traditional. The Salvadorian food also amazing. The food was delicious but the service was terribly slow. I would definitely recommend their meats they have lots of flavor. However my waitress never checked up on me. I had to sit and wait like 5 min to ask for silverware. I wanted to order another drink but nothing....then asked someone else for a box and waited 10 min for the bill then waited I don't know how long for them to collect it while watching her just stand there talking and then just relaxing. I would understand if the place was busy but only 2 other tables were there at the time. Definitely suggest having the exact amount of cash if you go there just so you can leave faster. While the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and the food was decent, my overall experience was marred by the poor service provided by the waitstaff. During my visit, I noticed that the waitresses were frequently gossiping at the back of the restaurant and leaving customers unattended for extended periods of time. Despite arriving before another family, I had to wait an hour and a half for my carne asada, which was not served at the correct temperature. Additionally, I did not receive my beverage until the hostess noticed that none of the waitresses were attending to me. While I understand that managing a restaurant can be challenging, I was disappointed by the lack of attentiveness and professionalism displayed by the waitstaff. As a customer who values good service, I would suggest that the restaurant consider hiring additional waitstaff or providing additional training to the existing staff to ensure that customers receive prompt and attentive service. I believe that this would greatly enhance the dining experience and encourage more customers to return to the restaurant in the future. Overall, while the food and atmosphere of the restaurant were pleasant, the poor service provided by the waitstaff detracted from the overall experience. I hope that the restaurant takes steps to address this issue and improve the level of service provided to customers. Food was very good! Fajitas and bistec were delicious! But service was a bit slow and forgetful. Flan had too much orange syrup for my taste. Parking is ok, kind of tricky if you park right in front.

Sat at bar for about 5 minutes and no one came to service. There were three wait staff laughing and joking around so I went ask for service. Ignored! Standing over 6 ft and probably one of the tallest in the bldg, I am pretty sure I was seen.

the food was horrible!! I lost my appetite just by entering due to the nasty smell… not to mention the table was also very sticky & uncomfortable… the waitress were also not paying attention to any customers & kept talking , Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

After 20 plus years of eating here it's dissapointing how the quality and quantity of food has fallen off here. There are just too many other places that have better food for the price in the area. After 2 very dissapointing orders I won't eat here anymore unfortunately.
