To say this is a cafe is a misnomer, it’s more of a greasy pub. When I came today, I was greeted by an aggressive server (w/ bald, shaved head) who ordered me impatiently and impolitely to sit down, so he can register the table I’m at and take my order. Complicated huh, i never experienced this, especially at such an ordinary informal place. I should’ve left at this point. But I ordered an americano, but what I got was cafe pasado, which is stale coffee, the kind you get in a typical market in Peru, not from an espresso machine. It was beyond awful. I instantly regretted my decision to come here. I left and went to a another much better cafe that makes authentic specialty coffee. Lesson learned I guess 😬 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Best and only real coffee shop in Oxa. My Americano was always made right. Staff are very friendly. 5 stars when they start selling real croissants and when a customer asks for a brownie don't say "sorry we only sell this with ice cream". Solution make more brownies and authentic butter croissants.

El lugar lindo y estético. Al café helado se le sentía la calidad del café pasado, muy rico. Mi favorito ha sido crossaint de colono!! El helado de queso canela ha sido muy top!!🎀 Adicional: La señorita que nos atendió (Yor) muy amable y atenta con nuestro pedido. Nos brindó un vaso de agua. He venido al El Colono varias veces y estaba satisfecho pero la última vez me lleve una grata sorpresa ya que habían mejorado aún más su ambiente y servicio. La atención es muy amable, el lugar esta muy bonito con hermosa decoración. Pedí una empanada de chorizo oxapampino a S/9.00 que estuvo bastante bueno. También pan de lomito se cerdo a S/18.00 que no valía su precio. El café capuchino de s/ 10.00 era regular, nada del otro mundo. En resumen los precios son elevados y la comida es regular. Una cafeteria muy cerca de la plaza de armas. Fui para probarla ya que soy asidua de otra y queria probar algo nuevo. El local es bonito pero lo encontre muy oscuro. La atencion es buena, son amables y relativamente rapido. Los jugos son grandes, el postre que fue un pie de limon era muy generoso y bien hecho. El cafe estaba bueno. Los precios son elevados el doble, comparados con otras cafeterias. Volveria: no creo ya que eran precios de cafeteria de larco mar.
