As a burrito aficionado who has eaten the best of San Diego, San Fran, Mexico, and beyond - I must say I love this place. The veggie burrito was excellent, rice/bean/cheese I had the next day was just as good, they have an A clean kitchen rating, and sitting in the back outside area was nice too. Plus they make their own tortillas! Guac is interesting and really enjoyable too. Legit and definitely on my top rated spots list. Chile relleno burrito can be pretty tasty. Some months that we’ve visited you can tell that someone specific is making the food bc it tastes like it’s made with a lot of love. On this occasion it was okay, but the last 2 times on different days of the semana, it was more flavorful & tasted like if my grandma had made it. The nastiest food I’ve ever tried! Staff was rude! Ordered a “steak quesadilla” and it was NOT steak, it was canned meat! Also ordered a “Chile relleno plate” it had to slices of chile, the rest was all bread like egg! I didn’t even want to try those microwave beans that clearly looks like $*%#+ Misleading “great reviews”! let me just save you your lunch money! This place has been around for a long time and has a lot of history. It also was recommended as being a place that made great burritos. However we went on a Friday night and it was a little busy but not exactly huge. This was my first time eating there and unfortunately the burritos were nothing. I don't think I'll be going back because there's no reason to return. It's too bad I was heard a lot of good things about it and either I went on a bad night or the burritos are not what they used to be. I had the "Vegi Grande" burrito. It was one of the best burritos of my life. The most comforting chewy doughy burrito wrap. Great flavor. Salsa given on the side, almost detracted from the flavor and experience. If I was blessed with this burrito as a child, I would have known how good burritos could be and sought them out much earlier in life. This place needs to be a historically preserved spot. El burrito is an absolute must when in the redlands/San Bernidino area hungry for a good Mexican meal. The tortillas are hand made with care and the burritos are filling and the quality is off the charts. This place is unreal and the service is great as well. Come here if you are in the area! First timer here, wasn't impressed 😐, got the dinner plate #4($15) which consisted of a ground beef taco, red cheese enchilada and rice and beans. Rice and beans no flavor, enchilada sauce wasn't a fan only had to take one bite and I was like 🚮 ground beef taco was ok, not great. Won't be returning, as a Mexican I don't see they hype about this place🤷‍♀️ Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
The best thing about this place are their in-house made tortillas. I will have to say that their pricing was more than fair though. As a first timer, I tried their Colorado steak, Rice, and Bean burrito as well as a ground beef taco. Their burrito was pretty good overall, namely because of the tortilla. The inside was more rice and beans than meat though. The taco wasn't all that great, TBH. If it had shredded beef over ground beef it'd for sure be way better. Front parking fills up real quick with additional parking in the rear. There's outdoor seating both in front and rear of their establishment, though, no indoor dining. Overall experience is a solid 4 / 5 stars. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
