This was our first time here. The calamari fries tasted like something I would heat up for my kids. The bread, lobster bisque, and salad were good. The filet was not warm to the touch when it came out, it also wasn't as tender as I was expecting for medium rare. The lamb shank tasted like the meat from a dried beef stew, we probably won't order a braised lamb in the future. The mushrooms came out cold. Service was terrific, and the location was nice. Cocktails were made just right. It's possible they were having an off night, but we'll probably just stick to Webb.

Our overall experience was just average.
My family of 4 went for brunch. We were expecting to be wowed. Unfortunately, it was overpriced for average food.
1. We had crab cakes and they were absolutely amazing! The seasonal greens salad was also pretty good.
2. We also had chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and 2 chicken tender kids meals. All of the chicken was really dark, not golden brown. Maybe they were fried in old oil? They didn't look appetizing at all. Everything tasted ok but could use more seasoning. The steak had quite a bit of fat and was also under seasoned. We would've enjoyed brunch more if we had only ordered crab cakes and salads.
3. Our meal was $102 before tip. I did not feel like this was a good value for our experience. I left out feeling like I just wasted money.
4. Our server was nice but not very attentive. She did not fill our drinks once. I think she checked on our table once during our meal.
5. The restaurant itself is nice and modern but there is absolutely no privacy. It feels a bit too open. It felt almost like a museum.

Beautiful restaurant set off Lake Wylie. The views of the lake are amazing. There is a large parking lot and the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining. The host and wait staff are super friendly and the service is fast. I enjoyed the food which was cooked to order. The pork chop was so tender it practically melts in your mouth. The salmon skin was so crispy and flavorful. The drinks were also crafted well

Overall, nice little special occasion spot. Great views of the lake, high class service, and good food. I say good because I wasn't blown away by the food, but it was good. My husband on the other hand LOVED the pork chop. I loved the salad, but the salmon wasn't spectacular. Still enjoyed it. They recognized our anniversary that we were there for because we reserved through open table and the hubs put a comment in. Another nice touch was the Creme Brule and champagne toast they provided for the occasion. Would go back.

Drift is absolutely beautiful. You can’t beat the atmosphere of eating right on Lake Wylie.
We chose to go tonight as a little hidden secret Monday through Thursday you can enjoy soup or salad with an entrée and dessert for a total of $40
Today I had the Caesar salad with short rib and vanilla bean cheesecake. They also host many events here as well.

GREAT dining experience! This was our first time here. I took my wife and teen sons for my wife's birthday. It did not disappoint at all. It's relatively new, so everything about the facility was new and clean. There was ample parking for a Sunday evening crowd. I made my reservation from their website. From the moment you walked in, the staff paid good attention to us. We were immediately greeted and seated shortly thereafter. Our waiter (Jarod D) was pretty quick to come to our table and greet us, give us menus, explain a few things, and take our drink order. Jarod was incredible. He definitely knew the menu, was very courteous and personable, and was quick to check on us and address any needs in a timely manner.
We did not order any appetizers or soups/salads but instead went right into main courses. All four of us ordered filet steaks and several sharable sides (truffle fries, mashed potatoes, roasted mushrooms, and brussel sprouts). My sons and I ordered the steaks with crab cakes. Even with a good Sunday crowd, we didn't have to wait long for our food to come out, maybe 10 minutes. Everything came out hot. All steaks were perfectly cooked....and incredibly good! I font think my older son chewed much at all. His plate was clean in record time. The sides were enough of a portion where all 4 of us could have an average sized serving with some leftover. All of the sides were great, very well made, and tasty. I must admit that the roasted brussel sprouts were some of the best I've ever had! So overall, I would say the food itself was excellent.
As far as the menu itself and its variety of options , there is something for everyone. There are good selections of steak/beef, pork, lamb, seafood, and pasta. There are many gluten-free options, too, but none of the pasta is gluten-free, though. They do not have a kids' menu. They also have a very good wine selection as well, with a range of prices to accommodate any budget, and offer a decent selection of beers as well as a full service bar for liquor/cocktails. The bartender working that night made me a most excellent old fashioned! I got a second they were so good.
The facilities were great and atmosphere was wonderful. It is versatile enough to host a very romantic evening, a gathering of family or friends, or a business dinner. There is ample seating, tables, booths, and bar seating. There is outdoor seating with great views of the lake but we stayed inside, it was cold and rainy. Decor was contemporary with a modern touch, but overall it was warm and inviting but light and airy enough to take advantage of the lake setting. Large windows emphasize the lake-side setting and views.
Staff was amazing. I've gushed enough about our waiter Jarod, but everyone there was courteous and personable, quick, and professional.
Prices are not cheap, but on par with all the higher-end restaurants in the general York county / Charlotte area. With drinks, food, and tip we had a $400 evening but the overall experience was incredible and well worth it. We will definitely return for special occasions.
Overall, Drift on Lake Wylie is a great place for fine dining. It is a stroke of masterpiece planning and execution. Most fine dining in the general area is in Charlotte, but with the addition of Drift to the growing list of fine dining in York county, I say fine dining has found a good home there, and can compete head to head with Charlotte's best.

Mashed Potatoes
This Carrot cake was so moist and delicious!!! Bread and butter was very good. Ended up eating an additional serving of it. The Starter appetizers will fill you up. The mashed potatoes were so so, nothing like the previous ones I had last year. They tasted kind of old and the temperature should have been hotter. This establishment is very upscale, it employs knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff, and has a beautiful clean atmosphere. ( My sister ordered the oysters. She thought they would have been served on a shell, but they were served in a sauce/gravy instead, due to company policy. She enjoyed them, especially the sauce they were prepared in. Definitely coming back, the next time I'm in SC....
