From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel welcome. This is a true haven of Akha cuisine, and you are certain to be wow-ed by your meal. The coffee and the tea are also excellent. It may not be planned on your itinerary, but let me suggest that it should be. If you are going toThamluang Khunnam Nangnon national park, Pha Mee is only another 5 km and it really is worth it! What an amazing restaurant this is. They have a handful of selections if you are looking for Akha (Hilltribe) cuisine. The Man Tod Bod Akha มันเทศบดอาข่า is a very mild "sweet" potato mash. The Pak Bung Preaw Pad Khai ผักบุ้งเปรี้ยวผัดไข่ was not exactly the same as the name "Sour Morning Glory Fried Egg" as it was not sour. Another mild tasting dish that you wouldn't think twice about if served to you as part of a hotel's scrambled egg breakfast. The Kaeng Puak Akha แกงเผือกอาข่า was the most interesting, as it's more of a soup than a "curry" that is quite spicy and full of taro chunks that eventually dissolve into the soup, making a very thick consistency. All the dishes were served in neat wooden bowls that look like they were carved out of trees. The view from the corner counter/table is particularly serene and peaceful. They also sell coffee beans locally harvested by the Akha Hilltribe that taste pretty good. Highly recommend this place!

Very lovely cafe especially in the morning with less people. View here is beautiful. The cafe have nice seating decoration. There are the photos of the King Rama 9 once he visited here as well. Variety of food is available here.

Beautiful area, great coffee. It took us a long motorbike ride to get here, but it was worth it.the scenery is breath taking with the mountain view, the jungle an the contrast with the ricefields. We stopped here for lunch and enjoyed a great fresh espresso while taking it all in.
