Gravy on the hot sandwiches and waffles seemed to be different and not as flavorful as before.

First time visit for lunch on a Saturday. I would describe it as quaint and homey inside (as you’d expect eating in a railroad car). The waitresses were friendly and seem to have a good relationship with long-time customers. The wait might have been longer, as it’s very small and a number of people were waiting for a table, but we took a couple seats at the counter. To get to the point - the food is excellent! We had burgers and fries, so nothing fancy, but those were some fantastic burgers. Try the Texas burger, which is messy but so good! Sadly we sat in front of the dessert case - drooled over the pies, but after finishing lunch, we had no room left for dessert. It’s a longish drive for us, but we’ll definitely be back!
