About as German as you can get in the US. We had jagerschnitzel and pork chops at our table and they were fantastic! The sauerkraut and red cabbage sides were generous and delicious. However the surprise side was the German potatoes. Addictive. Great taste and consistency. Ausgezeichnet! This rivaled meals we had in Germany 🇩🇪. To top it off the Tuxedo cake was wonderful. The employees were terrific, helpful, and on top of everything. I highly recommend this authentic German restaurant! This restaurant is a nice place if you want to have a German-inspired dinner. The service there is great; our order was served quickly, and the staff was really attentive. We ordered Kasseler Rippchen: a smoked pork chop with sauerkraut. The meat was delicious and paired well with all the side dishes. We also tried Kase Schnitzel, which was served with a generous amount of cheese, was crispy, and well-seasoned. For dessert, I really enjoyed the chocolate mousse cake; it was well-balanced in sweetness and very tasty. Amazing food…so flavorful! The paprika schnitzel is so good. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. 5 ⭐️ my only complaint would be some kind of waiting list that can text when a table is ready. The atmosphere was amazing. Very authentic German, the staff was friendly and honestly I couldn't ask for anything more because they were willing to do what was needed to make me comfortable. The staff all spoke german as well. The schnitzel was a little sweet which isn't something I'm used to but the sides were perfect. The beer was amazing and the lemonade was perfect. If you like jager schnitzel then know that the mushrooms where absolutely amazing if it was a little less sweet this would have been my favorite restaurant in texas. As for German restaurants that we ate at in Fredericksburg Der Lindenbaum was our favorite. The Schnitzel was good but the marble Rye was really good and the German cake was excellent. There could have been a better German Beer selection but it was still good beer. All and all we will definitely be going back. They were packed, but we only had to wait 15 mins. Kesseler Rippchen (grilled pork chops) and Hungarian Goulash were fantastic! Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm definitely coming back! My Missus and I lived in Germany for a few years, and walking through the door brought back memories. Our server Abby (hope I spelled that right) was great! The bread is outsourced from a local bakery, and had the perfect flavor and texture. The schnitzel was fantastic. Dark mushroom gravy, perfect breading. The house red was deep, with amazing cherry forward flavor, the wheat beer (bottled) was nicely cloudy. I would recommend anyone offering wheat beer to include a lemon wedge. We highly recommend. Came here for an early dinner after our wine tour. I liked the rustic German charm of the place. The Auslese wine was smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. I had the Butcher’s plate which I thoroughly enjoyed although I prefer larger portions. My friend had the Gulasch (spicy beef dish). We didn’t have dessert but they looked delicious.
