Death and Taxes in Raleigh is an elegant and sophisticated restaurant that offers a great dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed and provided with excellent service. The mixologist was very helpful in suggesting drinks that would pair well with our meal. The open kitchen adds to the ambiance of the restaurant, and you can watch as the chefs prepare your meal. The food is top-notch and fresh. We tried the Octopus with Rice Beans, Parsley, Pine Nuts, Castel Vetrano olives, and red pepper, which was full of flavor. The Poulet Rouge was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. The desserts were also excellent, especially the Baked Alaska and the peanut butter tart. The prices are on the high side, but the quality of the food and service make it worth it. We would definitely recommend Death and Taxes for a special occasion or date night.
