We had a great time with family and friends on Thanksgiving day. We decided to do something different this year and let someone else do the cooking. Cracker Barrel was that someone else, and they did all the clean up. The staff was great and got our party of 17 seated in no time. This Cracker Barrel was extremely nice, I can't even lie. The service was extraordinary, it was quiet, the food was immaculate. I was just in Battle Creek to go to a local auto museum, but stopping here to have breakfast really set the tone for my day. I'm very thankful for their wait staff & the establishment. The overall value for the money spent, I thought, was very, very good. The food I bought for my wife and I cost $24, which was almost half the price of recent meals at a name brand Sea Food restaurant and a local high price spare rib place also. Where the meals I recently bought at those two high price restaurants was alright, the taste was not nearly as good as Cracker Barrel. I am retired and very much on a fixed income. I am not in a position to be able to get another job to supplement my income due to responsibilities at home. I was just about ready to give up going out to nicer restaurants to eat; this was basically my last attempt. I will be back at Cracker Barrel several times this winter, at least until the weather lifts and there is something else to do outside for an older woman who gets cold easy. God bless Cracker Barrel for having nice options at affordable prices for senior citizens. Thank you. Cracker Barrel is nothing like it used to be. I received RAW CHICKEN from them along with my mashed potatoes being squished out if its container and so they decided to put it in a little biscut bag like that was going to fix the mess or something. I was eventually given a $50 gift card which I ignorantly used on Mother's Day to take myself out with. I received yet again some undercooked chicken. I'm done with this location and will never visit again. The food was great. The person seating us must have grown up unable to reason and was totally ignorant of helping customers be accommodated. The manager had to many tables creating unrealistic seating. I told him I was not going to be bumping into the other people at all the crammed in place tables and chairs. He remarked we could separate and sit at different tables. I said no the other dinning area had open tables. He rolled his eyes . Found a table and said it's to big! What a complete dope! We tried the Mimosas and they were very good. Highly recommend. 🥂 Normally everything is great at any Cracker Barrel I've been to but the service was awful this time. Took over an hour to get our food and there were just 2 of us and they weren't busy at all. The manager gave us a discount which was appreciated. I still gave it 5 ⭐ though because I feel like this was a one time issue and I would definitely go back. Told the chicken was the special, wrong. It's pork chops. So dark, couldn't see much of the menu. Asked our waitress about sides, she rattled off veggies instead of showing it on the menu. Breads were not ordered but still brought to table. Brought wrong sides on dishes. Food not hot. Not going back again. This was my first time here. There was a little wait about 2:00pm in the afternoon. Just a little busy for a Monday. Still got a table right away. The server was friendly. Excellent experience here. The staff were friendly and quick. The place was packed but our food came out in a very reasonable time. The grilled chicken salad was excellent. My wife had grilled chicken with Mac and cheese, biscuits, and veg. All was good. We will definitely return here when we are passing by again. Stopped for dinner on the way home from a day at the zoo with kids. No wait. Had a table available immediately even though they were busy. Waitress took our orders immediately and food was served promptly. Excellent taste and quality of the food as well. Also did some shopping in the store attached to the restaurant as well.
