The food was great. I had biscuits and gravy, grits, scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon. 🥓 My server was great. I must say I was very pleased with the food. The grits were a good consistency, and the gravy was great. The coffee was great as well. The table could have been a little cleaner when I sat down, but other than that it was all good. Put our name on the list online… wait time listed was 15 minutes. Upon arrival was told it was a 40 minute wait. Questioned the hostess was told that the times online were inaccurate and they did not have control over it and it was a corporate problem. After waiting for 1 hour asked to see the manager was told there was nothing that could be done although there were a ton of empty tables. Was basically told that we had to deal with it and it wasn’t their problem was never offered an apology. After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes was seated. The waitress was super nice and was the only one that offered an apology. Waited 30 minutes for our food and the food was disgusting. The bacon had a really bad taste to it like it was expired, the eggs were not cooked proper, and received less proportion than the rest of my party. Felt as if I was being punished for saying something. I was contacted by the general manager about the visit. He was very apologetic and offered for us to come back for dinner on him. Unfortunately we live in Virginia and aren’t able to take him up on that offer. I told him that my main concern was that this did not happen to other people and the staff received more training and learned how to speak to their customers and know that an apology goes a long way with most people. It took forever for us get a table. The hostess disappeared into the kitchen area with us and several others waiting to be seated. She never offered an explanation. There were empty tables visible, but no one was seating us. They seemed very disorganized and unconcerned. Not at all like the usual Cracker Barrel experience. It would been nice if the hostess would have told us that they are going to be closing soon. We would have left and went somewhere else. When you have small children they talk, pittle around, and be kids. So a meal for us takes longer for us to eat. My family and I came in around 8:15 PM or so. We did not realize that this restaurant was going to close at 9. We thought that it closed at 10. But apparently that is only the weekend. Our fault we get it. The food came out decent but my wife and I was not very happy when we only received 4 biscuits (only 3 are in the picture) and the biscuits that were given to us seemed like they were the castoffs biscuits. When we asked the waitress about the biscuits she told us that is that all that they had. My kids got hot chocolate it was going to take 10-15 minutes to make. Why couldn’t we have fresh decent looking biscuits ? In that timeframe . We would have bought the rest of biscuits that were made. If we would’ve been communicated with about them. Due to the waitress response to the biscuits we felt that we would have gotten the same treatment from the manager. So we just left it alone. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

This Cracker Barrel looks similar to every other one with amazing food and amazing customer service. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful and as always the food was delicious. Food prices are reasonable. We actually ate there twice during our visit, but I only took pictures of the first time. They have a breakfast bowl that is to die for. If you’re in the area I’d definitely recommend eating at the Cracker Barrel. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

Our server was great. Our problem getting properly seated was the issue. Our party of five kept getting skipped to seat parties of six and eight. The girl with purple hair apparently messed up. After an hour they finally decided to put us at a table for four, even though there were plenty of large tables available. I guess it was too much trouble to have someone just clean one of the tables off. I even asked if they would do that so we could have room to enjoy our food. They acted like it was gonna be so much trouble to make that happen. They still kept us at the small table!! Come on people, it’s not that complicated!!! We can always count on Cracker Barrel for yummy food. Love the cornmeal fried catfish and country fried steak! Taylor waited on us at table 123 and she was great! Friendly, accomodating and prompt.
