From my friends and family I have heard that this place gets very busy and getting orders takes really long time. To avoid all this, I went on the least busy day "Monday". This was my first visit here. It was a big party and we ordered several dishes. Sambar Idly, Chicken Tikka, Chole Bhature in starters and in full course we got saag paneer, chettinad kofta curry, chole bhature again and garlic, butter naan.
I would not order sambar idly again if I end up here. Sambar tasted like daal, missing salt instead of sambar. My group said that chicken was uncooked in Chicken Tikka. The curries tasted ok, saag turned out to be spicy and chettinad sweet. The highlight of our meal was chole bhature. Among all these, they tasted the best. If you are here I would recommend trying them out.
When my group member mentioned this to our server that chicken was raw in tikka, the server got defensive. He said this is how they make it and from the color of the dish it looks cooked. We decided to drop the matter there.
It's a big place with comfortable seating. Overall the ambience is nice.
My expectations of great food were not met.

The food was amazing. Service was great, they will help you with any questions, food intolerance and spice levels.
My friends and I have tried most Indian food in the Southbay and this place is by far the best one.
Every single thing we ordered was amazing.
Highlights are the Dahl, the ghee roast dosa with dips, lamb biryani, and eggplant.

This place was awful, seemed like a bunch of special needs kids running the place and THAT would be an upgrade. The menu is the first clue that this place is cheap and classless--a menu with multiple staples (photo 1). Started off with appetizers (samosas and spinach pakora) that was served COLD. We were hungry and ate it anyway and told the waiter who said it was all "pre-made in advance" ?? Before we ordered we asked if the samosas were spicy because we have dietary concerns and didn't want over-saltly or spicy, then after we ordered our entrees. Chicken Tikki, Garlic Naan, Dal Tadka (lentils), and yogurt. The Chicken Tikki was served alone with nothing else and was extremely salty & spicy (it would have been nice if waitress forewarned us since the topic came up before). My friend took one bite of chicken and said "you eat it, I can't" but I could barely tolerate it either, felt like my mouth was on fire. We waited for the rest of meal and finally got up and asked TWICE where the lentils, naan, and yogurt was. This was a meal, why are you serving it separately? After the Chicken Tikka was served we waited 15 MINUTES for the rest of the dinner to be served!! By then the Tikka is COLD! After lentils and bread we were still missing the yogurt and asked numnuts (a male waiter, since female was MIA) and got the deer in headlight look (what yogurt)?? Ten minutes later he brings us a tiny dixie cup (as in photo 2), and says "we didn't charge you for the yogurt". (Oh geee, thanks!! Like he was doing us some big favor. 🙄). At the end of meal we asked for tinfoil to take home the naan bread and THAT took another 10 minutes!! Bottom line (and we are not prima donnas): for $100 dinner we expect the basics, decent food and waiters that are attentive and CARE about their customers and food. We will never return to this low class place, I'm truly embarrassed for them and I don't think they'll be in business much longer because the place wasn't even that busy on a Saturday night. 👎 FYI, we brought our own bottle and the corkage fee was $20. Parking was plentiful (empty) and free (probably the only positive).

I recently dined at Copper Pot and was thoroughly impressed with their Chicken Tikka Masala. The spices were well-balanced, creating a harmonious and satisfying experience. The service was excellent, and the cozy ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian cuisine!

Perfect Sunday for curry. Had the Mulligatawny soup to start and it was delicious! The halibut coconut stew is perfect. Naan was crispy and soft in all the right spots. My favorite place now!

Food is great. Service is very slow. Also very smoky in there today, feels like the kitchen smoke is in the restaurant… one thing very special is that they have a complete vegan menu, even the butter used which cooking the food is plant-based. This is a new concept in Indian restaurants, kudos to this restaurant for taking this step.

Indian
I ordered my food to go. This was my first time trying this place, I've been craving Indian and I was excited because it's close to my house. Unfortunately my experience wasn't great. I ordered the lunch special which included saag paneer, basmati rice, a piece of naan, a house salad and a house dessert + 2 onion samosas (for an extra fee of $3)
I received the veg byrani rice instead of the plain basmati I ordered (I have a 10 month old who I was going to share with) which was fine tasting, but there was a particular spice I wasn't a fan of (hence the reason I ordered the regular basmati rice) This was a huge portion- almost feel like the rice and saag sections should be switched.
I only received 1 onion samosa which tasted really good, but I wish I got the 2 that I paid for.
The saag was okay. I saw another comment that said a lot of spice and no flavor which I feel is an accurate description for what I got. It was more like a spinach purée than the typical saag where you can see/ feel the pieces of spinach.
The salad was really flavorful and I enjoyed it, the big raw chunks of raw red onion was a bit overwhelming, but can be picked out easily.
Naan was good.
Dessert looks like mashed banana with a cashew or two sprinkled on top. Tasty, but nothing special.
My total was $32 + tip which is incredibly expensive for what I received.
I really wanted to love it, but unfortunately I don't. Kind of glad I ordered to-go and didn't do the lunch buffet like I wanted to.

Someone recommended Copper Pot to me. I really enjoyed their atmosphere and my favorite dish was mutton kebab and salmon fish. If you want to try authentic Indian food you should try Copper Pot.

I liked their buffet at the Indian cultural festival special. It was about $30 for an adult which can be acceptable due to the options. The service generally in this place is slow and I have seen my friends as well complain. Some of the food is good and some are stale so it's hit or miss. The owner is nice and friendly but usually seen during the spl buffet. The price is not bad on menu items. The interior is spacious but a little old and during hot days, it is better to sit close to the AC on the corner :). If I'm in that area during lunch or dinner, I might stop by but may not look as the most preferred to drive to. They have some scope for improvement. They claim that they have a prestigious chef from India.

There are two names for this place on the map..Copper Pot and Raw Mango. The Raw Mango is a vegan menu while copper pot includes halal meat. But they're both served in the same restaurant.
We went during lunch and the place was not that full which was nice. It was just me and my daughter at a table in one room. They ended up seating a groups of loud people right next to us. It would have been ok except I had a hard time hearing or talking loud enough without yelling to have a good conversation.
The food came and it was hot and fresh. The naan wasn't quite as fresh as I hoped. Was a little baked and crisp. But still good
I ordered the copper pot chicken Beriyani and a vegetable Tikka masala. We also tried the almond beverage which was sweet and semi chocolate tasting.
I enjoyed the food. There was a very good portion which I will eat for lunch tomorrow. Just a bit pricy.
Sorry the pictures were taken after I ate. I forgot to take them before.
