The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous, the grilled fish came with a huge coleslaw like salad and the was super fresh. The kottu was also declious and huge. The staff were friendly and the menus were in English. It wasn't cheap but was my favourite meal in sirlanka so far.
FYI its a 2hour wait for the bbq and curry so order in advance if you want that.

The food was okay, but the waiting time was extremely long. I waited for 1.5hrs for simple noodles. While I understand that sometimes they might be busy with orders, but in such cases I expect to be informed about the waiting time. So simple. After one hour I went to the kitchen to ask about my order and they just started to prepare it then. Took another 30 minutes to bring it. And what's worse, without an apology. The food wasn't as mind blowing, so next time I'll just go somewhere else. And yes, on the very first page of the menu they write: first come first served. ??? Is that not normal though? Anyway, this was my experience.

Don't worry about the doubting reviews about food being bland or not spicy enough. We had the cheese pasta, Fries noodles and fried chicken with vegetatie roti. I ordered the latter as 'spicy' and it DEFINITELY was (and i'm very used to eating very spicy food). All 3 plates were very tasteful. Would defo recommend to anyone!!

A Memorable Culinary Journey at Come & Taste Restaurant Sigiriya
Rating: ★★★★★
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Come & Taste Restaurant Sigiriya, and it was an experience I will never forget. This charming restaurant specializes in serving traditional curries, and I must say, they exceeded my expectations in every way.
One thing to note is that reservations must be made at least two hours in advance. This policy ensures that the staff can provide personalized attention to each guest and maintain the highest level of service. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who immediately made me feel comfortable and at home.
The ambiance of the restaurant is delightful, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor beautifully captures the essence of Sri Lankan culture, immersing you in a truly authentic dining experience. Soft traditional music played in the background, creating a soothing ambiance that enhanced the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Now, let's talk about the highlight of my visit—the food. The traditional curry I ordered was simply outstanding. The flavors were rich, aromatic, and incredibly delicious. Each dish was meticulously prepared, using a harmonious blend of spices and locally sourced ingredients. The attention to detail in every aspect of the meal was evident, and it truly elevated the dining experience.
The staff at Come & Taste Restaurant Sigiriya deserves special recognition for their exceptional service. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the cuisine they served. They patiently answered all my questions, offered recommendations, and ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Their genuine warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.
Overall, I cannot recommend Come & Taste Restaurant Sigiriya enough. From the moment you make a reservation until the moment you leave, you are treated with utmost care and respect. Tasty food, yes. But nobody asks me do I want spice or not. Maybe it’s cause I’m looks like a typical tourist here, but I like spicy food
Seems a little bit overpriced. For two people: mixed rice, cheese kottu, 2 lime juice, pineapple juice, beer — 8000rs

What a remarkable place! This is a family run little restaurant off the main sigirya road heading into the jungle.
The food is freshly prepared and sooooo tasty. We stopped in the afternoon having climbed Sigirya rock and needing a refill. They made us vegetarian noodle soup with egg. It was really tasty and so seasonably priced.
We returned in the evening to have vegetarian curry and we weren’t disappointed.
This beautiful little restaurant tucked down a track is well worth the visit.
The family are so helpful and friendly and great chefs… enjoy!

What a hidden gem on the side of a quiet lane. Flickering torches and joss sticks keep those pesky biting insects at bay and create a wonderful atmosphere under the trees.
As for the food - the curries were completely delicious. Hubby and son requested 'spicy' and were very happy when their chilli-loaded food arrived. I, however, relished my medium slightly zingy, but equally scrumptious feast.
The hosts were super-friendly; one of them even shot off on his motorbike to buy us water to take back to our hotel - above and beyond.
Highly recommend...we will be back!

We were quite disappointed with the food after reading all the good reviews.
The portions are indeed big, but despite ordering the Chicken Khottu "sri Lankan spicy", it wasn't really spicy and not very flavorfull. There was a green chili on the plate, which was spicy but that was it.
We had a much better and also cheaper Khottu in town at Liya restaurant.
They also add 10% service charge which is not indicated on the menu.
