We went there on Sunday the 18th of Feb. Table no 78 and we were sitting outside. The lady who took our order first time was lovely and had great customer skills. We went inside again the second time to order some more food and this time the lady who served us was very rude and had no manners at all to talk to the customers. When she came outside to serve us the food she commented " oh, you guys cannot decide in one go, can you?" I mean what sort of comment is that and what is wrong if we ordered more food in different instances and not at once. We spent around $80 there and this is how we get treated! Never experienced this sort of behavior before at any cafe we have been to. My friend was surprised and felt humiliated too. The place wasn't busy either and it took them ages to serve us the coffee that was ordered first but we didn't complain.People go out on a weekend for breakfast with their friends and family to share some good time not to be treated this way. It spoiled our weekend and made me upset for the whole day. Thanks to the Columbus Richmond team especially the rude lady for spoiling our day. Also note I am a registered customer of Columbus Richmond. I would not recommend the cafe at all, not after what happened with us. One really unhappy, dissapointed and dissatisfied customer 😒 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

When I went previously, the ice chocolate was pretty average. But I was pleasantly surprised as the hot chocolate was nice and the chicken salad was superb! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We had the Angus burger, so juicy and fresh. The pancakes were a hit. The fresh cream and custard. The sweet strawberry syrup and the most fluffy pancakes. I had to take a slice of carrot cake home with me. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

My hubby and I stopped in to get a coffee and afternoon tea to find the cabinet was empty and we were informed the Cafe was due to close. However the sign were still out ... advertising the cafe was still open for business. The staff member reluctantly made us coffees to go and we took them outside to sit. We then watched another half dozen people go in and then were turned away ... all the while sign still out. Either you are open or you aren't. Coffee wasn't that great either. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Absolutely appalling experience at Columbus Richmond. $13.50 for a "bacon and egg brioche brekkie roll" and this is what came to the table. A week old McMuffin from McDonalds would have been more enjoyable. Dry as anything, no sauce as advertised (aioli and tomato kasundi) and flat as a pancake (honestly looked as though someone had stood on it before it came out of the kitchen. Sent 3 emails to Columbus and was ignored every time so sharing it here instead. Seriously don't waste your money here!

As a visitor to Nelson we are always on the look out for nice iced drinks for us and the kids. Loved the iced chocolate and iced strawberry which were marketed as milkshakes. Lovely iced latte too.

Didn't eat, but staff to busy talking to friends. Coffee wasn't bad. Just be a little more aware of customers waiting to be served not what your friends got up to in the weekend. Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

We went there for breakfast. Overall the food was good - tasty and well presented. Maybe coffee could have been hotter. Utilitarian setting, but decor is attractive and appropriate.
