There was only one person in line so I figured we got lucky. 20mins later I felt the exact opposite. If there's a long line you better have a few hours to kill. I don't want to come down hard on kids. I think it's important that people have entry level jobs to hone their skills. However, I do expect a certain level of common sense to already exist. Well.... it's not the first time I've been wrong. The two gals working that day had the personality of wet cardboard and moved slower than the dmv line. To be fair what they made was tasty but, it shouldn't take almost 30 for 2 people ordering nothing fancy with only one person in front of you. While I did appreciate the generous portions I was unable to enjoy them because the cup was too small to contain everything. The extra was a waste and only served to make a sticky mess. At least we got to enjoy our treat out front on the dirty tables. Sitting downtown made me realize why I avoid Pacific Ave most of the time. Living here for 50yrs it's a shame to see how wretched this once special area has become. I guess cold stone is lucky anyone is willing to work downtown. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
Oh my goodness they have a dairy free Meyers Lemon sorbet mixed with strawberries that is absolutely scrumptious! It's been awhile since we could enjoy a place like this so it was a real treat to even have an option and then to have it be so heavenly is just fantastic!! Great for a summer afternoon stop!

I must say, I really thought the world of this place until I started placing custom orders. My most recent order was a triple pint size of Birthday Cake Remix, and I paid the extra 3 or 4 dollars for double all the Mix-Ins (two brownies, twice the fudge, twice the sprinkles). When I came to pick up the order, I told the guy at the register I I was there to pick up an order and gave him my name. He went into the back and never returned! I had to ask someone else to please get my order after waiting for almost ten minutes. I was extra bummed when I got home and looked in the container. You can see by the attached photo there is practically nothing in the ice cream at all, let alone double the ingredients! Maybe someone was having an off day, but for $26, this should have been amazing instead of disappointing.
The gentleman that was there helping was very good and polite. I used a gift card and disnt have small bills to leave a tip but it was great. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We ordered 3 flavors- pistachio, coconut & banana but it tasted almost the same.
For the longest time I thought it was me that was in the wrong for not enjoying this establishment until I started reading reviews and talking to peers & other jobs !! Do NOT be fooled. The owner absolutely treats their employees like garbage. I’ve seen another review saying the owner washes paper cups to save some money and that is absolutely correct I was taught to do this in TRAINING ! I am a minor & only able to work to 9 pm the latest. The owner would assign me shifts until 10:30 at night & when spoken to change because I realized this was simply to much he seemed so very bothered. This was ILLEGAL. I am not of the age to be working that late! I was not aware of this until talking to my current work place. I was told at ColdStone as soon as I’m on the floor to make ice cream I would be making tips, two days into being on the floor I had not received a penny in tips. After being disrespected multiple times by the owner I left during my lunch and did not return until I received my finale check. If you are a local teen looking for a groovy place to work this is not it! Would not recommend going there AT ALL. Employees are nice but the work management makes this whole establishment horrible.
