The food just wasn’t it. Sometimes you go to places that may excel at doing other dishes well, but the Sweet and Sour Shrimp w/Shrimp Fried Rice wasn’t really good. The flavor was lacking in both the rice and the shrimp. They didn’t have shrimp egg rolls or spring rolls which is a bummer but not a deal breaker. I will try again and pick something else and hope it’s better than what I ordered today. My first overall experience for Chinese King is “meh”. Didn't even get to ordering. Lady at the counter was so rude, I didn't hesitate to leave. We were the only people there, and I can see why. As soon as she gave me the menu to order, she told me to hurry up and order. It was 6:30pm

Will not be buying food here again! Asked for food spicy and was not given what I ordered. Asked for the four happiness which comes with 4 meats and veggies. Was given more veggies than anything. Only three penny size shrimp more chicken than any other meat. Called and lady told me she gave me hot oil which i asked for before leaving. Do not recommend at all.

This is a staple in the community and a place I used to frequent QUITE a bit back in the day. My most recent visit here only brought back FOND, FOND memories of when I first started to frequent this restaurant over 17 years ago. The service is great. Always greeted with a smile, the cashiers are in place to be of assistance and this is just what they do. The waiting area is just adjacent to the dining area and both areas are quite expansive; so if you're picking up or dining in, they've got you covered. The menu is also massive and there's bound to be something there for all palettes. For me this was a pickup order, so I got the food and jetted. My wait time was nominal; when I arrived, I only had to pay for the food and I was free to go. Calling ahead to place an order is the smart thing to do, if you're not dining in. The food was great tasting. The temperature was good. And the price was right. Ample parking in the shared parking lot.

If I could do a O I would. The attitude of the owner I cannot handle. I have a food allergy and cannot have any flour. Each time I ask about which food does not have flour, she gives me a hard time. If you luck out and have one of her children wait on you, you are fine. I also cannot have hot seasonings, which the fried rice came out with. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

Food was excellent for lunch. And this was with only 1 person working....waitress...reception...and cooking. There was no one else assisting her. She did it all. And this was for lunch. She had to bus and clean tables all while handling the patrons. All while being so pleasant with everyone. Thanks for excellent service 👍 Hope you got recognition from others.

These people are thieves. I came to eat and bought something to eat and I shared a can of soda for 5 dollars.

I've been going to Chinese King for years. They undoubtedly HAD, the best chinese food around. I'm extremely particular when it comes to chinese food. If they have a buffet or pictures of the food on the wall, I'm probably not going to go there. I no longer live in St. John but my daughters do so whenever I go there I usually go to Chinese King. Never again though. I went a couple weeks ago when I was on my way home from Metairie. Called in the order for pick up. Drove home, (an hour away) sat down at the table to eat. Everything except for the combination fried rice tasted old. I know what leftovers taste like and I know what the texture of food that has been in the microwave feels like. Everything was old, bland and a major disappointment. I will never go back to Chinese King. I'm not happy about this at all.

Service is really bad. They don't seem to care about customer. Watching movie on tablet or hiding in the "kitchen",so you have to shout on them (in empty restaurant - very bad sign). Food average,better then microwave chinese. But what you can also expect for 8$,right? During our visit 3 to go orders have been made and none of them was correct. Customers came back with complaining or missing stuff or wrong order.

Called and order.. food was ready in 10 minutes and was very hot. Clean restaurant and very friendly staff. I always get food from Chinese King when I come to town. They have to BEST CHINESE FOOD AROUND! Great menu there is lots to choose from. I drove over a hour to come get food. No question order and you will love it.
