Came here for my birthday with my family and had a great time! The service was outstanding! I mean they were on it. Food was awesome! I got the octopus but sent it back, it was cooked great and they were very attentive about it…was just a special octopus I wasn’t used to. Atmosphere was chill, not very party or performances like we thought but the scene & music made up for it.

I guess I’m doing good reviews in Tulum. I read about Chambao part of the Anderson group (who ironically does senior frogs as well - I guess something for everyone!) pros and cons. Dinner starts with local bread, 3 types of butter and a plate of salsas. You mix the bread and salsa and it was DIVINE! I just have tired very combo, this chili peppers in the middle were a bit to hot for me but I made it through with the butter. The butter cuts through the heat. Seriously would have left totally satisfied if that’s all I had. Then I had the octopus and salad appetizer, again fantastic. At that point I was full, didn’t really need an entry (don’t eat much). If it was me and one other person, having one main in addition to the apps would have been plenty. Then came the lamb. I’m sure the steak would have been outrageous but was feeling lamb that night. I asked for it rare, came out in a sizzling skillet so it kept cooking so I think rare was a good idea. I’m not a huge lamb fan so not the best critic, but when I have good lamb I love it. This was “good” not fantastic, the delicious yogurt dip made it fantastic and I ate it very last chop and left barely being able to walk. Presentation on everything including drinks is top notch. Not as much $$$ as everyone claims. I left at about $150 usd. Not cheap for sure but not $500!!!! Ambience is great, staff even better. So friendly. Love these guys

My experience was fantastic! The level of service was immaculate, and you couldn't ask for a better atmosphere. There was not one time we had to wait to get service and had multiple waiters assisting. The restaurant was calming with a DJ playing tunes consistent with the setting. At one point, we were surprised to witness a fashion show during the dinner, which was welcomed as it added to the positive experience. One big drawback is the cost. We easily spent over 1k for a party of 6. Also, not every dish was great. For example, the crab cakes were just "ok". Overall, it was a GREAT one-time experience, and I am still singing the "Chambao" song!

Stumbled upon this place by chance while walking around trying to find dinner on my girl’s birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and even more importantly to me the service. Our server JR paid special attention to us and my girl felt special. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and service.

I have travelled a lot of places around the world and eaten at a lot of high-end restaurants in all of them, Chambao in Tulum has undisputably been the best of them all. The pricing is certainly premium, I spent over $400 USD per head when I dined here including the service fee, but you truly get the quality you pay for.
The Kobe and Omi A5 Wagyu Ribeyes are without a doubt the best meat you'll find anywhere in the world, cooked perfectly, they're flavour is overwhelmingly good, so tender they literally melt in your mouth.
Their seafood is also absolutely sublime. The Australian Lobster Tail was the freshest, most flavourful seafood I've had in my life.
The sides and cocktails are also just as flawless, some of the creamiest and tastest mashed potatoes I've ever had. The cocktail range is also well varied with lots of incredible drinks to suit everyone, often served with extra features such as smoke and strobe flash lighting as part of the showmanship experience.
Chambao, being part of the Taboo series of venues, truly embraces the party atmosphere they're known for, including sparklers being given to everyone, live shows such as aerial acrobatics and absolutely thumping party tunes by the live DJ.
Chambao is a truly unique experience, with a wonderful atmosphere, service and the best food you'll find anywhere across the world, don't hesitate to visit if you get the opportunity!

Caribbean Lobster Tail
My husband and I come here a few times a year and have always wanted to try a steak house, now let me tell you we were not disappointed. The lobster croquettes were to die for, the steak was cooked to perfection and their version of a scalloped potatoe was absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable. It was not cheap but in my opinion worth every penny. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.
If you are looking for a memorable meal this is the place to go. Keep in mind we don't spend this kind of money often but what a great experience it was!!!! Woke up the next morning still thinking about how good everything was with no regrets for the bill. We would do any special occasions here again and again.

Excessive prices !!! Simply ridiculous! Service was good till they realize you will not spend 2-3k on your dinner for two, they get mad. No thank you..nothing even with 20% tips that they put before giving you the terminal at the end...

Eric and Polo were amazing, they were so attentive, to the point they say us scratching from a the mosquitoes and brought us over big spray. The fool was excellent, the service was excellent, the presentation of the food and drinks were excellent. They best anniversary experience.

We had dinner at Chambao Tulum on our third night in town, and it was absolutely amazing. The service was fantastic, Daniel and Hugo were so attentive to our every need. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was able to recommend dishes that were specific to each of our personal tastes - literally some of the best dishes I have eaten in Mexico. Daniel even went the extra mile and orchestrated a special dessert dish and sparkler celebration for our table (we were celebrating the bride to be) which really made the experience extra special. The atmosphere was electric, they had silk performances while we were dining and a playlist that kept us dancing in our seats all night. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great night out with fantastic food, service, and atmosphere.
