All of our dishes were delicious! Large portions, great drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but we weren’t in a hurry so didn’t mind. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly good food, carpaccio di manzo starter was excellent coupled with the lemon and fresh Parmesan. Entrees were also extremely tasty, tagliatelle with shrimp and the spaghetti carbonara.
Service a little haphazard here and there, but not bad. Atmosphere sitting out on the dock was delightful.

This Italian restaurant is phenomenon! The service is fast and very professional. Food is extraordinarily good with the rich flavors in all the dishes with fresh and high end ingredients. The restaurant is located next to the lake that makes the view and the overall dining experience very pleasant.
Highlights of the menu:
1. Homemade bread - with butter, olive oil and vinegar
2. Crust bread
3. Risotto
4. Fettuccini Al Fungi
5. Catch of the Day: Sea-bass with lime and a different kind of risotto
6. Red wine
7. Sparking water - they’ll ask for the option of cucumber, lime or lemon 🍋 Perfect!
I would recommend this restaurant for anyone going to stay in Banyan Tree Resort Mayakoba in Playa Del Carmen!
All the food (appetizers, main dishes) was heavy. I don’t think Italian food has to be like this. However, if you want a romantic place for dinner, this is the best place!

I had the pleasure of dining at the exquisite Cello restaurant during my recent visit to Mayakoba, Mexico, and I must say it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere and the impeccable attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience.
The true standout of the evening was undoubtedly the culinary mastermind behind it all, Executive Chef Alfonso De La Dehesa. His passion for his craft was evident in every dish that was presented to us. The squid ink pasta was simply outstanding - the delicate balance of flavors and textures was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. And the osso bucco was cooked to perfection, with tender, fall-off-the-bone meat that melted in my mouth.
But it wasn't just the food that made our evening so special - the service was impeccable. The knowledgeable and friendly staff anticipated our every need, making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed to fully enjoy our meal.
All in all, I cannot recommend Ceillo highly enough. If you find yourself in Mayakoba, make sure to make a reservation at this truly exceptional restaurant. Chef Alfonso De La Dehesa and his team will take you on a culinary journey that you won't soon forget.

This place was wonderful! Service was impeccable, they had a lovely woman playing the cello, birds were also chirping in the background, and my young children loved it as well. The food was great, too. We ordered the fish limoncello and gnocchis, and child pasta bolognese. I would definitely come back if I were staying the in Mayakoba complex again.
