the food is good, the rice was cheap. Unfortunately, the cleanliness is poor, perhaps the walls could use a little paint? Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
Worst food I ever tried. We ordered Veg Manchurian and Fish Pakora. Asked for Manchurian to be Medium Spicy. Got very upset with the quality of the food. Manchurian was spicy as hell. Taste like Raw Chilli Powder was poured all over the dish. Fish was SOGGy, TASTELESS , NO FLAVOUR . Will never get food from here. Food: 1 Service: 1

RAW DRY RED CHILLI POWDER will be used for spice if you like your food spicy. Last night I invited my friends from Auckland and ordered couple of snacks from Castle 91 . I ordered Veg- Manchurian medium hot and Fish Pakora. The chef decided to use just Dry Red Chilli powder to make it spicy. Nobody was able to eat that because as soon as I tried 1 bite of the Manchurian , I felt like my mouth is burning. Fish was soggy, tasteless and no any flavours. Will never recommend to anyone from now on. Food: 1 Service: 1
We've ordered a number of times, and there's been fluctuations with the curry though tonight we ordered 2 butter chickens with garlic nanns and the chicken just didn't taste right. Mom called to let you know and the girl said it's just different chefs. The curry was really tasty, but the chicken tasted like it had been frozen or came from a can or something. It was really quite bad. I can't see us coming back. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Excellent food in the heart of Tauranga. My favourite dish is butter paneer and lamb. A huge place that can cater more than 100 peeps at one time. We could even park our fire bubbies outside shaded area while having lunch. Wt a yummy food and great hospitality. Visited this iconic Indian restaurant with family friends. Ordered Lamb special, Butter Paneer and Masala Mushroom. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. The cherry on top was: Indian style salad and piping hot tandoori roti. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'm from Auckland lived in Wellington and Tauranga's quality of food is sub par in comparison aswell as service. Either over priced or quality can't compare. This restaurant is the first restaurant in Tauranga where the quality and quantity could compete with some of the best restaurants/takeouts I've been to. Food is up there. The quality has gone so down in the last year or so. I ordered Butter paneer and they delivered this dog food. It’s tomato sauce with loads of sugar with paneer pieces floating in it. Disgusting. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Vegetarian curries are the best we've had in Tauranga. We're regular and have never had a bad order. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
The restaurant was overbooked when we arrived with a large party being accommodated. We had booked through an external site, not directly through the restaurant. Despite the lack of space, the staff made a good effort to accommodate us and the food and service was excellent
