Excellent cocktails and food and excellent service. This is a great daily stop, centrally located in a safe and well lit shopping plaza. Open early for breakfast and coffee, and great place to grab a cocktail and a snack to start bar hopping. I recommend the Elf Burger and the Mezcalita, both excellent. The waitstaff is young energetic, and knowledgeable. Great house mezcal, locally sourced.
We went on a day with live music (check the schedule for weekend events) and sat in the courtyard and it was a lovely evening. Overall a great place and a must visit bar in Oaxaca.

Maybe the best grilled cheese I have ever had. I'm not a big fan of bread but the bread used was very good. The sandwich itself was outstanding. The pesto really was the perfect addition. I had it without tomato which was great because the side of homemade tomato ketchup was superb. Did I mention that the wine was great as was the service. I will definitely return. Often !!!

Last night was our second visit. Our server Manuel was fantastic. As was my sandwich once again. Wine too !!!
However the ketchup served this time was like Heinz. Not at all the same as the very yummy homemade type served the first time we were there. Just not at all the same. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo of the first one. A little chunky and delicious. Maybe they ran out of the good stuff ??? I'll still be back and tell others about Elfo.

It's a great place if you want to try more upscale and trendy places in Oaxaca. I got a burger, and it was pretty tasty. I also got fries, which are seasoned well and have a great flavor. They are also a great choice if you want a snack and not a full meal. The burger also comes with fries, so keep that in mind if you don't want a lot of food. I didn't drink, but they have a great selection of cocktails and happy hour. The spot is located in Casa De Barro, which is great if you want to browse because there are many excellent shops in this area, especially if you are looking for ceramics.

The cheese and pesto sandwich was to die for.. this place has an upbeat, happy vibe....the staff is not there because they have to be. You can tell everyone enjoys working there.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a cafe and was thrilled by the fantastic atmosphere, perfect for evening cocktails accompanied by local live music. Situated conveniently near attractions like Jardín Etnobotánico, it's a true oasis. The cocktails surpassed expectations, and the bar's diverse selection sets it apart as one of Oaxaca's best.
