Not very tasty, yet not that cheap. The soup was good but the omelette with seafood was in fact served with surimi. The veal steak was dry and hard to chew. Both main courses were served with tasteless rice and french fries in oil which was not of good quality. Very little side salad - only a little grated carrots. The place that the locals eat! We were recommended this little restaurant that caters for the locals. It was explained to me ‘just the same as the locals cook at home - but they don’t have to cook it’! We had the veal, octopus salad, and chunks of meat with fries. All very basic but tasty. It’s very good value : the portion sizes are enormous. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Good food with reasonable price. My Polvo dish was served with just the right amount of salt and the octopus was cooked alright. Down side was the long wait though, it seemed that they have a small team and kitchen was running a bit slow in serving foods but they were doing their best. The lady who was running the dining room was very friendly, even though I don't speak Portuguese and dining solo I was quickly made welcome to dine in.

Lovely and quite simple dinner. Good octopus salad (7€) and sandwiches. Cacharino especial (5€) was alright as you could taste ketchup but cheese melt was very good. Pasta dish was difficult to start and was left undone. Waitress spoke English and menu was available as well.

A casual neighborhood restaurant off of the main Street. You can get a daily menu for €5, which includes a drink, bread, soup and a main entree. The server does speak English. The vegetable soup was really good and the main entree was big! I had the fish and my husband has the beef. The fish was better but it was an amazing deal. Nice service, too.

Lunch menu is really good value for money. I had soup, main dish (cod fish with potatoes), and red wine for 5euro and I ordered a lemon cake for 1euro. Actually it’s not just cheap, but they tasted great. The staffs were really kind and they explained their menu in English, which was helpful to me. I definitely recommend you this restaurant if you want to have cost efficient lunch!

Cozy and very affordable eatery. We paid €5 for a set meal (bread, vegetable soup, fish main, drink). The octopus was really juicy. All fish was very fresh and you could taste it. We had a great time and do not regret coming here. Cash only!

The lunch menu was very hearty and delightful! Cheap and value for money, perfect for people on a budget looking for good local food. The store owners couldn’t speak english but they have an english menu + menu of the day translated on an app for you. How sweet!

Excellent value for money. The menu of the day includes soup, a large main course, and a drink for 5€. It is a medium sized place and it can get crowded quicky so you may need to wait a bit, but it is definitely worth it since the food has a homemade vibe. Great choice to stop for lunch on a day trip to Guimarães.
