This place was truly incredible. The food was authentic and so tasty. I was blown away. I had the green hominy soup (waitress recommended) and it was the best thing I’ve ever had. It was amazing. I got spicy margaritas and those were great too. Highly recommend this place. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

So this is my first time coming here for lunch. First off let me say due to the pandemic I understand if they're short help and that a lot of people aren't going out to eat as much. But we need to support independent businesses more than ever especially salons and restaurants! Our waiter was the only person there serving people and the bartender was backing him up. The food was Immaculate and my drink was so strong I had to dilute it a little bit LOL Other than that the only thing I would switch up is maybe lighten the place up a little bit. It was very dark and dim in there. Overall I definitely would come back here again and I hope that there are more people when I do. I would love to take my wife here for dinner sometime.

My favorite local place but also my favorite mexican restaurant! I have their number saved in my phone but after 2 years i’m writing this review. Camelia’s never disappoints, like ever. I eat here at least 2x a month. I’m not sure how they get my order perfectly right every time but truly they do not miss. This has become my comfort food! Every time my mom comes in town, she’s getting Camelia’s. Their enchiladas and nacho are staples in my household but honestly i could eat just their rice and beans and be just fine! Stopped in yesterday for dinner with hubby THE FOOD WAS AMAZING AND VERY TASTEFUL we ordered the Steak Tampiquena so yummy! the server we had Rasheda was great! Her whole vibe was welcoming she made sure we were good and had all we needed. The manager Laura even come by the table to see if all was ok and if there was anything more we needed. This was our first time here and we will be going back for sure, the restaurant was clean the bathrooms were clean the whole inside was so comforting. I ate in peace and enjoyed my meal and had absolutely no complaints. There isn't anything I could say bad about this place and I highly recommend it. The people here are great! Had take out, ordered pulled beef burrito, chicken enchilada, cheese/chicken quesadilla and beef flautas. It was ok, typical homogenized Michigan Mexican. The beans tasted and looked like they were from a can but the rice good. The pulled chicken in the quesadilla and enchilada was dry and had basic seasoning. It just was a lacking something to bring it together. The beef burrito was much better, I had it with the mole sauce. The beef was seasoned much better than the chicken but still just nothing special. The staff was nice and the inside of the restaurant was decorated nicely. Maybe eating it there would be better but I’ve had a few these types of Mexican here in Michigan, they all taste the same. They play it safe and keep the same basic recipes in order to please the clientele.

This is my go-to Mexican restaurant. I’m from CA originally and am a Mexican food snob. I haven’t found a place in MI to make me feel like I’m home until I found this place. The food and atmosphere are both authentic and I frequent both locations. Keep up the great work!
