Tried their Paal Kappa and Beef, Calicut Taste Special Chicken, Shawai Chicken, Porotta and Dal Thadka and some juices. Food was tasty and we enjoyed it. More over than that I would like to mention their service mentality. Was superb, how they deal with the customers, with their friendly attitude. Would like to mention about Mr. Siddhique who served food for us. 👍

A Delightful and Bad Experience at Calicut Taste, Barwa Village.(Multiple time visit)
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Calicut Taste in Barwa Village and indulged in a delightful culinary experience.
I began my meal with a cup of tea, and I must say that it was a perfect start to my evening,
As for the highlight of my visit, the Fish Kalmas truly stole the show. The dish was a burst of flavors, and the fish was cooked to perfection. The combination of spices used in the kalmas created a symphony of tastes that delighted my palate with every bite. The dish managed to strike a perfect balance between spiciness and savory goodness, leaving me craving for more.
I eagerly anticipate my next visit to Calicut Taste, where I plan to explore a variety of dishes to gain a more comprehensive understanding of their menu. If their other dishes are anything like the Fish Kalmas, I have no doubt that my future visits will continue to be exceptional culinary experiences.
However, during this visit, there was a minor hiccup as I had to wait a bit longer than expected for my parcel of Wheat Porota.

I revisited Calicut Taste restaurant for dinner today night(07/09/23) and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. I ordered a variety of dishes, including tyre pathil, vegi kuruma, half chicken shawaya, and chicken curry. Unfortunately, the vegi kuruma had an exceptionally bad taste that was far from what I expected. It was a major letdown in terms of flavor and quality and quantity too. Furthermore, the tyre pathil, which should have been hot and inviting, was served as cold(5qar/pcs).

There were several issues with the service at Calicut Tase, Barwa Village. Firstly, the waitstaff seemed disinterested and untrained. They took a long time to take our orders and were not attentive.
Additionally, they took an exceptionally long time to arrive at our table. We waited far beyond a reasonable amount of time, and finally they attended our table.
Furthermore, there was a lack of communication regarding the status of our order. We had to wait for 35 mins just to hear that the food that we ordered wasn’t available.
Overall, the service at Calicut Taste, Barwa village was subpar and lacked the professionalism and attentiveness one would expect from a restaurant. The uninterested and untrained waitstaff, the prolonged wait times, and the lack of communication all contributed to a highly unsatisfactory experience.

We went for dinner yesterday here and ordered veg. Kuruma, butter naan, Bbq chicken and beef and Porotta and also we ordered samavar tea. veg. Kuruma and butter nan very bad taste and Pakistani Karachi chicken not good, did not taste as we expected it to be and also not worth the price, samvar tea also not satisfied. Bbq chicken and beef perlan and Porotta was good worth the price

BBQ Chicken
Unfortunately, I went there yesterday and ordered hot and sour chicken soup, chicken tikka (normal), chicken BBQ, and Kerala porotta.
Firstly, the hot and sour chicken soup tasted like "hot and salty chicken soup" with too much salt. After returning the soup, they replaced it, but the new soup tasted like hot and watery chicken soup.
Secondly, the chicken tikka had no taste at all and was served with raw masala.
Thirdly, the chicken BBQ tasted like chicken boiled in water.
On a positive note, the Kerala porotta was good.
Additionally, a glass for drinking water was placed on the table directly, which seemed to be taken from the dishwasher with water still in it. It gave the impression that customers were expected to clean it themselves.
Finally, they gave us a discount of 6.50 QAR for our wasted time.

Horrible experience. We have ordered two fish dishes one king fish and Avoli fish but they brought both same fish which is Avoli, if you're not aware of fish type please don't get cheated. And they trying to convince me that by mistake they served the wrong dish. They might be doing it for all the customers who don't have much knowledge of the fish type.

Two star for the soft and layered porotta. Chicken karahi was a let down, horrible in taste and expensive too. Chicken was not well cooked. Service was good. Won't be visiting again.
