What a great place to come too. Staff very pleasant. Delivery of food and coffee was quick. Flavours were great. The hamburger looked misleading then you bit into it and the flavour of the meat pattie and fresh vegetables was amazing. The cooked breakfast was huge and just yummy. The bacon, sausage, eggs were perfect. Like the hamburger enough food that it was a struggle to finish. You will want to finish. The photo shows quality food. We drove through Ashburton and found this in Tinwald. Worth the stop for friendly staff, amazing food, and typical Tinwald hospitality. The cabinet food looks amazing and while we were there people were coming in to buy their pies and sausage rolls which sounds like from the customers a must try. We have always drove pass while driving through. We took the opportunity to stop today and boy was it worth it. I'm very impressed by the savouries. Even the potato top pies have cheese mixed in. The kids had a milkshake and a massive doughnut respectively. All good items were so good that I forgot to take a before photo (which is unusual). So here's a midway photo. Definitely worth a stop over. We will be back on the way back to Chch. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A great selection of cakes that look to be custom-made instead of mass produced. Nice coffee and tea, reasonably priced and with on-site toilets and parking. This place is clean, service is great and mobility is very good. Now, let's talk about Fudge. Forget the other stuff... Fudge is what you're really here for. It's delicious! Overpriced for what you get. Stopped in and got two pies and two medium coffees and it cost over $30…I get it was a public holiday so incurred 15% more but not worth the money. Both our steak pies had 80% gravy and hardly any meat. It’s a shame as we won’t be stopping there again.

Dropped in here a few weeks back to buy some fudge as a gift. Thinking it's just a fudge shop. But didn't realise its actually a cafe and Bakery. So as I stocked up on 5 of the many fudge flavours on offer. I took a look at the rest of the offerings. So I then bought a 2 pack of fruit pies (pear) that were on special. Plus I also got a takeaway (decent serving sized) cottage pie they had under the counter as well. I had the cottage pie that night for dinner. It was very nice. The fudge went down a treat over the next while, and the fruit pies which are currently in my freezer still will be next. I expect these will be just as good as the fudge and the cottage pie. Will call in next time I'm driving past for sure to get some more pies. And likely, some more fudge too. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Friendly staff, good parking. The food was acceptable - pie had no chewy bits, which is always a good thing. Not sure I'd return though.

Very low quality food and services. They prioritize white people all the time I visit here. That’s my 3rd and I’m giving up. Service Dine in Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Horrible service the lady was really nice however i was in line waiting to pay when the other lady serving took the next persons order and then got them to pay before i did which i thought was rude as i had been standing there clearly waiting to pay (with my card in my hand which i thought was a clear indication that i still had to pay but obviously not). We got chips ($3.50) and a toastie ($5.00) pancakes ($15.00) and Nachos ($16.50) and a Milkshake ($5.00). First things first the chips were terrible and so rubbery and cold, i wouldn't get them myself as just looking at them you could tell they had been there all day, eating one of them confirmed that. Next the nachos very bland had no flavour like you would expect from nachos. I didn't mind the nacho chips but the mince was not good at all, so what im saying is the one thing i liked about them would of been from a packet. But its not all bad the pancakes and the toastie were really good i was told so there are some positives also the milkshake was really good nice and cold and lots of favouring syrup. Would not go again however.

What a lovely store. Have driven past a million times on main road, and this time needed to call in for a desperate coffee. I will return again for sure, to support the little guy, rather than just a chain. Great food selection including gluten free, something for everyone - sweets, hot, cold, lovely bakery items. And great coffee including an array of milks for the fussy. Love it. Delicious. See you again. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
