Amazing tour. I had a 1 on 1 tour with Carlos. The tour was a hands on experience from growth of the coffee seed and plant it early all the way to the processing of the coffee. (All which they do on sight). They also have a vast array of other fruit trees. They also gave me a free goody bag to take home (with a free pound of coffee). I learned a lot and felt very valued. I took coffee tours at 3 places and this is by far the best tour. (Quantity and quality).

We took a $30 main tour and it was worth it. The guide,- Carlos has a passion for what he is doing. He explains the topic in a good way, so that you don’t feel like during the lecture, but a friendly chat. If you want not just to get a knowledge about coffee but to feel Boquete I would absolutely advise a tour with Carlos from Ruiz coffee!

Great coffee place to try and visit in Boquete. They have a small cafe with big grinding machine display. Coffee beans are dried out in the vicinity too. We love their mocchacino and ginger bread!

Nice little cafe just a bit outside of town. Plenty of parking space right next to it. Tried their Geisha coffee, very aromatic. Came with a introduction card that explains the coffee they product in their farm. Service was good. If you have time, you can sign up for their tour at their farm.

Very interesting tour and talk from Carlos about coffee in Panama, the Ruiz farms, and how coffee farms fit into the local economy. Finish with a quick cupping (coffee tasting) session!

At Café Ruiz you can drink a good Panamanian coffee (for coffee lovers: also the expensive geisha coffee!), but they also organise a great coffee tour! Highly recommended! The tour is organized for small groups and takes approx. 3 to 4 hours. You first get a presentation and after that all steps of the coffee growing and production process are explained and shown. But you also have plenty of time and opportunities to ask questions. In addition our tour guide Carlos knows a lot about coffee, he speaks English very well and a big plus: he is quite funny. So we were well informed ánd never had a dull moment! Of course the tour ends with a tasting and you can buy your favorite coffee at their tiny shop.

I've been in better coffee places. Not many choices. It was nice to see how they sun-dried the coffee seeds.
Omg! For all Coffee lovers you can’t for get to make a stop at Cafe Ruiz and enjoy a cup of coffee or why not a nice ice Cappuccino yum.

Found my favorite coffee again. It is located in a new location, across the street from where they used to be. Wonderful cappuccino! We stocked up on coffee for the house. They mentioned you can make orders from Panama City at the World Trade Center but not sure which office. Price per person PAB 1–5 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Coffee Beans

We made a coffee tour at Café Ruiz and it was just amazing. Our tour guide, Carlos, was really really good. My girlfriend and I were lucky to get a private tour because we were the only ones attending at that day. Carlos picked us up at the hotel, drove us to one of the plantations of Cafe Ruiz and told us everything about coffee in Panama, the company and the process of growing and processing coffee. In the end we made a tasting and now we feel like better informed about coffee than ever. I can really recommend doing a coffee tour with Cafe Ruiz - and their cafe is also very nice, especially the very good banana bread!
