This place is amazing. The omelette rosa (salmon omelette) is amazing with red wine as a companion. Delicious food and great staff. Will come back again Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We came to Cafe Alondra for an early breakfast. We ordered the corn pancake (that tuned out to be a corn muffin, which may just be a cultural difference in translation - so I can’t blame them for that), cheese enchiladas, chicken enchiladas and a couple of coffee frappes. I have to say, overall I was really disappointed with the food - the corn pancake was not to my taste and the enchiladas were a bit too sour. But on the other hand my partner was quite happy with his food. So overall, I think it really just came down to preference of taste. The frappes were definitely quite nice and I’m sure I would have enjoyed them more if the day had been warmer. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $200–300
Food wasn't great, it was mostly a tourist trap. We only went there as we had a little ones and our family friends did not want to venture out about 2 blocks away. If you don't mind, walking 1 block or 2 going north and you will find food and drinks half the price. We ordered their house specialty sandwiches (stacy). Bread was stale for everyone, sandwiches were full of mustard not just a little mustard, it was dripping. When we mentioned that it had too much mustard, they asked if we wanted to order another sandwiches without mustard. No where in the menu it mentions mustard. Anyway I had myself and kids remove the mustard with a paper tower and had to order another sandwich without mustard for the youngest. Big disappointment for the amount of money we paid. We expected better. My wife thinks they might have done the mustard thing intentionally; that's the vibe she got. I DO NOT recommend this place to eat. Skip past go and eat elsewhere for half the cost. Good luck Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
It's definitely a must if you're going to downtown Cuernavaca, and if you want to have a delicious breakfast with a perfect view to the Catedral. The service was good, food really good with good portions and the atmosphere really takes you to experience the Mexican colors and flavors. Come early because it gets really crowded after noon.
