Caesar's is a historic fine dining spot in Tijuana that offers Mexican cuisine with a touch of gourmet flair. The establishment's classic interior design and cozy ambiance give diners a feeling of old-school elegance. Prices are pocket-friendly, especially compared to San Diego. Caesar's is located on Calle Revolucion, making it easily accessible for tourists exploring the city. The restaurant's most notable feature is its claim to be the birthplace of the Caesar Salad, which is mixed at the table and is a must-try dish. Other standout dishes include the bone marrow appetizer, seafood risotto, and beef Wellington. The establishment also offers a wide selection of cocktails, including the Piña Colada, and a variety of wines. Overall, Caesar's is an excellent choice for those seeking a taste of history and delicious food in Tijuana.

Finally visited this legendary restaurant after walking by many times previously. Caesar salad is naturally a must and it is still served tableside. Great value and the food was fine, though the beef wellington could have admittedly been a bit less well done. Minus one star because I felt like a schnorrer when my credit card didn't work and I paid cash instead. The same card worked immediately before and immediately afterwards at merchants just a few blocks away in Tijuana, so this was a merchant issue that I had to follow-up on after returning home. Nonetheless this meal was a great experience and I'm glad I finally did it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $800–900 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Creme Brulee

I'd been wanting to eat here for years and it didn't disappoint. A real Tijuana institution. Don't just come for the Caesar salad, enjoy it with a full meal. The bone marrow sopes were next level. The steak was perfectly cooked and the flan might have been the best we've had. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very nice experience to be in this historical place where my favorite Caesar salad was invented 99 years ago! Clean and organize place, great service, they make the salad in your table! Our beef Wellington was overcooked but everything else was delicious! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

This place is totally awesome. Love Caesar salad. And this is the OG place to go! They make it right in front of you. It's so creamy and delicious. All fresh ingredients. I was only sad because I had already eaten my way through Tijuana and could try anything else! It's totally worth the stop. The atmosphere is great! White tablecloth service, but there is no need to dress up. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes The Original Caesar Salad

Caesar’s Restaurant is known for being the birthplace of the Caesar’s Salad, and this iconic fine dining institution had an upscale, white tablecloth atmosphere with a dressed up waitstaff. The menu was eclectic, offering dishes from Mexican and multiple European cuisines (e.g., French, Italian, Spanish, British). The must-order item was the Caesar’s Salad, which was prepared tableside. The server expertly created the dressing by mixing together numerous ingredients including a raw egg, lemon juice, olive oil, anchovies, pepper, garlic, and more. He then tossed in whole leaves of romaine lettuce and set them on a plate, before topping them off with crunchy round croutons and grated Parmesan. This Caesar’s Salad was unlike any version I’ve had before—the dressing was umami, garlicky, and lemony and was completely different than the generic ranch dressing that comes with most Caesar’s anywhere else in the world. The remaining sauce on the plate was perfect for mopping up with the basket of soft white bread that came at the table, and the bread also went nicely with the green olive tapenade, their signature complimentary appetizer. For my main course, I ordered the Salmon Wellington, a unique dish made with a fillet of salmon wrapped in puff pastry with a layer of duxelles mushrooms, and served with a creamy, lemony beurre blanc sauce and vegetables on the side. For dessert, we had the Ate con Queso, which were triangles of manchego cheese topped with quince paste, honey, fig jam, and apple slices. Overall, the food here was nicely presented and delicious. Though slightly more expensive than other places, the prices were more than reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber and with this level of service! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

During my recent trip to Tijuana, I had the pleasure of dining at the iconic Caesar's Tijuana, a dining establishment with a history as rich and flavorful as the cuisine it serves. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was transported to a bygone era of sophistication and indulgence. The restaurant's history is interwoven with the creation of the renowned Caesar Salad, and dining at Caesar's Tijuana is like stepping into a time machine that takes you back to where it all began. The dimly lit interiors, elegant decor, and classic jazz music playing in the background create an atmosphere of timeless charm. Every detail, from the linen-covered tables to the polished silverware, adds to the sense of occasion. I visited Caesar’s before a 2 pm dentist appointment with a friend who needed to catch a 4pm flight. We arrived as they opened at 12 and after rushing through my entree, I barely arrived to my appointment on time (5 blocks away) The service was excruciatingly slow. I understand the cultural difference of time, and not wanting to rush, but the long wait times between everything was anxiety inducing for both of us. The meal at their pace would have easily been 3 hours plus. 10 minutes before getting a drink. Another 10-15 minutes before we were asked about ordering. There was nothing wrong with the pace, just don’t come here if you have any other time restrictions or come to Caesar’s afterwards. The food though was amazing. I have a feeling the olive butter and bread will go down as one of the single best things I’ll ever put in my mouth. I can easily recommend the spicy pulpa (octopus). Simply amazing. My friend ordered the fried calamari and while it was good, I didn’t find it as amazing as the octopus. For my entree, I ordered the chef special t bone steak. It was not what I expected, as it was 3 very small steaks, but delicious at the same time. It was enough food for a meal, but a little expensive for the quantity of food I was anticipating. My advice is to order more courses and appetizers and go with a more basic entree…and settle in for a very long and drawn out meal. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
