Oh man, the dish was my final enemy, I've rarely seen such big great portions. I had the cod and it was delicious. Great atmosphere and food prepared with love for a very good price. We had a wonderful meal here and would love to come back :)

We embarked on a mesmerizing quest for fishy delights, and it led us to the enchanting haven of "Būda" in Engure, Latvia. Trust me when I say, this place is cozier than a bear's hug in winter!
Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the mystical till, where our fishy dreams began to take shape. The drinks, like eager courtiers, arrived at our table promptly, setting the stage for the gastronomic adventure to come.
But hold your breath, for the true magic was yet to unfold! In the blink of an eye (well, almost), our fishy feasts descended upon us, as if conjured by a culinary sorcerer. Cod fillet and baked flounder fillet danced upon our plates, accompanied by loyal salad and fries sidekicks. The aroma alone was enough to make our taste buds do a joyful jig.
And oh, what an orchestra of flavors played upon our palates! The portions, the quality, and the taste of the fish and sides were nothing short of astonishing. Juicy, tender, and out-of-this-world goodness that left us spellbound and craving for more.
I dare say, the dish I had was an epiphany of taste, the stuff of dreams and fantasies. Move over, fairy godmother – this was the best dish I've ever had, and it shall reign in my heart forever!
As travelers from Riga, Latvia, our pilgrimage to Būda was a journey worth every nautical mile. The icing on the cake (or should I say, the lemon wedge on the fish) is that Būda isn't too far from Riga, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a fish dish that leaves an indelible mark on the soul.
In the grand finale, Būda earns a resplendent 5-star rating out of 5 from us.
So, fellow fish aficionados, heed my words and head to Būda for a fishy fairytale that will live in your heart forever!

large portions. long wait for food. but it's worth it. portions are huge. delicious. nearby nature trail for hiking. sea across the road about 500 meters. the parking lot is small. ma were able to stand on the sidelines. the place is good to eat and drink craft beer.

Food is not bad, but you have to have a lot of free time, because waiting for drinks 30min, waiting 1 hour for table to be cleaned and for soup, or 1.5 hour for main dishes is too much for me. Portions are ridiculous, so half portion should be enough if you're not so hungry. In photo - full portion of chicken fillet, I was so hungry (waiting made me even more hungry) so it was almost perfect size for me.
