Being from TN, I'm very picky when it comes to out-of-state BBQ..... But this place is some of the best brisket I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a bunch). And the slaw and green beans were on point! If you're in or around San Angelo and hankering for great BBQ... Go to Bubba's. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Bubbas was a great experience. Driving through texas on a road trip and stopped at bubbas on the way there and on the way back. The sausage has a great snap and flavor to it. All around great food.

Very spacious for those who don't like to be confined. The employees were very polite and explained the menu since it was my first time there. They don't charge for bread or jalapeños. The servings were huge compared to what I thought I was going to recieve. Most importantly, the did was amazing! Based on the recommendations from the guy taking my order I ended up with the 3 meet plate and chose sliced brisket, pulled pork, sausage, baked beans, and potatoes salad. Every single item was amazing. I loved that I was able to grab the food through a drive through. I’m not sure if they were having an off day when we went, but our food and experience was nothing like what the reviews say. The room was dark and felt dirty. My brisket sandwich was not very warm and had an insane amount of fat chunks in it. The sides tasted like they came straight from a Walmart container. So I’ve been to about every smokehouse bbq in town and I gotta say this place is hands down #1. There brisket is so juicy and tender, there chicken is fall off the bone tender and there sausage is pretty damn good to but I need to emphasize that the meat is bursting with that good ol Texas bbq flavor but not overbearing where the aftertaste is too much. All the sides were bomb as well. And the customer service is awsome. 10/10 experience. I just moved here 3 months ago and found Bubba's by accident. Had 3 choice combo plate, brisket, pulled pork and sausage. It was all excellent. Ordered sliced brisket and jalapeño sausage with pinto and green beans. Got a pot roast style chopped brisket served to me, sausage was tasty but both were kinda dry. Sides were pretty good. Overall the price was fine, there are just better barbecue options in town... the kind that give you an actual sliced and moist cut of brisket
