Nice little café/restaurant that was around the corner for our hotel. Inside it's really cut and cosy but there's plenty of space outside with big tables and lounge sofas. The owner was super friendly, we had a great chat and we even met his wife and daughter. Food was decent, relatively small portion though which for us wasn't a problem since we're small eaters. Totally unexpected place with awesome vintage decor and good food. I say unexpected because small town Uzbekistan is turning out to be different than we expected it to be. The owner introduced himself to us as we were leaving and we ended up standing around and having a nice long chat with him all about the recent development of his nation. We'd go back if we weren't leaving town tomorrow.

Unique place with good food. You can sit outdoors or indoors. Outside it seems like eating in a forest. Inside it seems like going back to historical uzbek-russian times. The owner is very intelligent and friendly man who speaks fluent English. Also speaks Russian. Sometimes there is a piano player, which is cool. There is a piano both inside and outside. The owner keeps improving things, so go back every month to see the changes. Maybe new food. Maybe new style. Maybe new beautiful hostess. Mystery meat in spaghetti. Got a surprise 15,000 charge on my bill for the music. An older guy was playing the piano for my first 10 minutes there. I'm not sure if this is just something they try on foreigners or if it is a normal thing for everyone. Plus there is a 15 percent service charge in the bill.

Interesting decoration with some lovely vintage furniture. Decent coffee and tea selections. The English menu surely makes the communication much easier. Music in the background was very cheesy which surely affects the lovely ambiance.

Got there early morning and possibly some staff sleeping in shop. Quirky decor like a early 20th century European drawing room. Importantly the coffee was good and fairly priced.

It's not only about the coffee, it's about the soul. Owners of Brown Sugar are deeply care about their place, about the atmosphere, and you can feel love in every detail. Feels like home, like shelter and don't want to leave it
